-The final set of Friend Fleets will be added this weekend. The event is schedules to end around a week after that.
-The Spring 2021 Event, "Clash! Battle of Lunga Point", is underway. It is a medium-scale event with 3 maps in the Main Operation and 2 in the Extra Operation.
-Friendly Fleets are available in E-1, E-4, and E-5.
-Takanami Kai-II has been implemented. It requires level 79, 1 BP, and 1 AR.
-The new ships in the MO are Matsu-class destroyer Momo (E-1 reward), Japanese submarine I-203 (E-2 drop), Yuugumo-class destroyer Makinami (E-3 drop), and the American Heavy Cruiser Northampton (E-3 reward). The new ships in the EO are Yuugumo-class destroyer Suzunami (E-4 drop), the Ice Breaker Souya (E-5 drop), and the American Brooklyn-class light cruiser USS Honolulu (E-5 reward).
-The new land-based planes added in the EO are the M21 Zero (Tainan Air Group), the M32 Zero (Tainan Air Group), and the M22 Zero (251 Air Group).
-There is now a new submarine special attack. It requires a submarine supply item, echelon/line abreast formation, and a Sub Tender as flagship with 2 subs in the No.2 and No.3 slots.
-The April ranking rewards have been distributed. The new equipment is the SBD-5 dive bomber. It will be available through other means this summer.
-As of the Feb 28, 2020 maintenance, due to the ongoing DDoS attacks, measures have been taken that requires players from certain countries to use a Japanese IP address to connect to the Login servers. After getting to the start screen it's possible to disconnect from the VPN and continue playing without it. If you still encounter connection issues try clearing your cache and changing your time zone to JST. These countermeasures are temporary as of right now. EN EO now bypasses the block. Another possible workaround is using https://github.com/Tibowl/KCCacheProxy
-The following ships will receive another remodel at some point in the future:

Slightly modified zekamashi fleet worked pretty well for me. One LBAS to air node and the rest to the boss. Mostly dong-tanking the sub node. Finished P1 in 7 total sorties and got the S-rank for debuff later in 1 try. Was honestly surprised so many people had trouble with it. I thought E4P4 LD was a lot harder. And nothing in E4 compares to E5 P2/P3.

I used Mutsu, Nagato, Yamato and Washington. Gave Mutsu the 46cm Kai. I don't believe I ever saw Yamato not go first but you could probably swap her out for SoDak or Kongou. I wouldn't recommend Hiei yet because her FF is currently the only one that might help out a little.

The story arc would be centered around two events, the 2017 Summer Event (Ark Royal) and the same year's Fall Event (Leyte P1). Leyte P2 is more Zuikaku's story, and Shigure's character arc hits its climax at Surigao anyways. Spoilered because this is basically fanficiton.

Things start off with a somewhat experienced naval base making preparations for the massive Europe operation. Shigure is chosen as part of the final fleet to take down Euro Hime, but she's having doubts. The actual event has a lot of fanservice, with lots of foreign ships involved (Bismarck, Warspite, the Italians), fairly new LBAS power (introduced the previous year), Euro Hime herself who is cool as shit, and the absolutely banger BGM. Shigure's fears are realized as she flubs hard at the finale and has to be escorted out, while the rest of the fleet has to pick up the slack. They eventually win but Shigure is inconsolable.

In response to all the new air power the abyssals are preparing to field a new anti-air destroyer at Surigao Strait, Shigure needs to get her shit together, as she is an integral part of the new striking force fleet and can't be retreated like before. Her fellow members eventually get through to her with their shared trauma or something. Even more battle fanservice, with all the different fleets coordinating together. Shigure and friends finally break through the strait and rescue white duck.
