I'm not experienced enough to know if these are practical reasons or not; I'd guess not really.

Some of them become useful when the tower gets released and you have to max them out to be effective. Sanae is still the most convenient healer IMO. Other than that, you'll just be steamrolling the events with top tier characters.

I don't see much reason for a "stamina efficient" unit. Sure you'll want to save stamina for grinding, but outside events the only place worth grinding on lunatic is either Yukari or redMarisa for their cards. Yukari needs a decent upgraded character while redMarisa needs a specific team if you want to run full auto that can kill her in 1/2 turns, pic related.

oh and also, for those worried about using macros for farming, an auto clicker clicking the bottom left side of the screen to refresh Full-Auto farming can not get past the exhaustion warning. Jap version is adding the option to reincarnate certain characters at the end of the month to power them up and unlock extra stuff. It's only going to be possible for 4 of them at the start so if your favourite is someone else you might have to wait a while.

Many of them share certain elements. In the end a lot of it boils down to "can deal a ton of AoE damage fast"
Yuuka: Can fire a max boosted AoE Last Word on turn 1, natural 25% extra damage against enemy weaknesses and resistances, youkai moe. Last word is also loaded up with slayer effects. Even her regular spells are AoE and her 2nd spell recovers P. Can also poison the enemy to help Medicine break barriers. Part of the most ideal team to farm the card from the chapter 2 boss. Easily the best character in the game.
Tenko: Some of the highest damage in the game. Can buff her attack sky high while already having one of the highest natural attacks, also has an AoE last word and is loaded up with slayer effects. Her Last Word also has the best looking animation in the game for what that is worth.
Toyohime: Has the fastest animation of any last word in the game yet also one of the strongest, making her the best character for grinding fast in events. Will crit basically 100% of the time against any endgame enemy. Natural 30% damage increase against enemy weaknesses. Anti-Gensokyo slayer which is like 99% of all characters.

Then you have characters like the Super Fes units who have the highest stats in the game and outdamge almost everyone while also having good skills or passives. There is also Suika who never runs out of barriers and Sagume who is a debuffer who actually deals good damage. The top characters who stand out the most for non-AoE spam reasons are Medicine and Tewi who are top tier because of status elements and barrier removal.

you can spark nearly every other banner if you play daily and get your fair share of expeditions, I'd recommend global friends to start doing so as soon as you're happy with your character roster
you are correct about only needing a handful of characters to take care of events and story, but later on with the introduction of scarlet tower having a broad selection is essential as enemies are dozens of times tankier and many regain barriers every turn

the name comes from granblue fantasy's system, first implemented after someone dropped a couple grand in an unsuccessful attempt to nab a funny monkey
it's an excellent move for any developer, f2p people stay happy knowing they can guarantee obtaining a certain item given enough restraint (which involves actively playing the game for longer and possibly dipping into light spending, especially if they urgently need a few more rolls to reach the exchange amount) and whales can drop fat loads at once to cash in one or multiple copies of a character or equivalent

they typically appear after 2-3 battles. there's a limit to the number of times they appear though, i think it was 16 times per reset?
the one i'm sure of is that shortly before and after reset, there will always be a limited errand to do.
also, this is from the previous thread but just a friendly reminder: the number of cubes you see when selecting an errand IS the max number of cubes you get. for example, if an errand shows a picture of one cube, an exp, and some coins, the most you will get out of that errand is a single cube. if you send 6 friends, once one of them grabs hold of that cube, no one else can get another one.

yes, you can buy 200k coins from an event shop plus a couple dozen thousand from point milestones and event boxes
basically an event will cover one spark and a little more, though you spend a considerable amount of coins ranking up and limit breaking your characters so keep that in mind
after a few events you'll build enough of a buffer until cubes become your limiting resource

adding onto this, the limited errands appear based on spending stamina equal to your player rank * some coefficient, I think it's 1.2 for your first 3 and 0.6 for all the ones afterwards or something along those lines
any limited errand that would appear past 3 simultaneous ones is put on hold until one is cleared from the list, at which point one errand is allowed to show up; you need to spend stamina for the other two as normal

Try farming Yukari's 5* sc then. My point was that between events, you pretty much dump sp to generate limited errands, any high-tier mats you get are just extra bonus.
For the pre-event missions, you can simply enhance a 3* sc once and part ways, which fully refunds tiles. Farming up 10 bronze tiles isn't too hard.

Never roll for dupes unless it is a super Fes unit. The game hands out free paper dolls to limit break characters so you just gotta wait a while. Otherwise you will constantly end up low on resources.
