Banner screen has a point counter in the bottom left corner. Each roll raises it by 1. Getting 150 points in a single banner allows you to exchange them for the featured character. It's basically a pity system so that you don't roll 3000 times in a banner and don't get the rate up character ever. People usually call this kind of stuff "sparking a character". Points do not carry over into different banners.

Never tried honkai. Genshin was decent (since it had some actual gameplay), but i got bored of it a while ago due to content drought and repetitive endgame.

It's just rng but there is a mechanic behind urgent or limited errands.

You can spawn up to 20 “urgent” Errands per day.
It requires (23.8 + (0.2 * player lv)) Spirit P spent to spawn an urgent Errand, capping out at 43.8 at player level 100.
The first urgent Errand of the day requires 2.5x that amount.
Only Spirit P spent on battle will count for this.
Up to three urgent Errands will be displayed in time, with a fourth one being hidden and only appearing/counting down when the other three are removed.

Urgent Errands will also spawn freely between 10pm to 2am.
These do not count towards your daily limit of the prior 20 Errands, and will be displayed separately from those. They take between 1 to 2 hours to fulfil.

Roles don't matter much. It's just a rough guideline on the characters can do. A team comp depends on the content so there is no general team. For example, for Yukari stage, you want characters that can hit wood or moon to break her barriers and dmg dealers to hit her after full break.

It feels like they're missing something important with this game, they could've implemented dungeon crawling mechanics with rpg-ish music which is one of the main charm of touhou rpg fangame nowadays. Just listen to this Active NEETs arranges:

I like the concept of alternate version of the 2hu like Marisa Rojo, and the high difficulty Devil Tower climbing but they could really use a lot of improvement.

Youmu does a lot more damage once you have all her skills and her last word. Not only does she have 2 skills to boost her attack but she also gains more attack for each shield and each level of boost she uses. This pushes Youmu's pretty low attack really high up. Patchouli also has a pretty shitty last word for some reason.

There is usually a pre-event that last around a week and has daily missions to unlock stuff like costumes and then the main event which is usually around 2 weeks. Later events add more stages after week 1 but global does not have Extra stages yet. I got enough points in the first jap event back in the day to get all the major rewards and every event after the first one also gave more points so it should be no problem unless you have absolutely no good characters for regular grinding.

School raises friendship up to a certain level and feeding your characters in it also gives them exp while you go and do other stuff. You need to click on the heart icons in the school every couple of hours to gain the extra friendship from the school. It also keeps their motivation up (those 2 sparkles on the character images in the bottom left of them). Dojo is used to level up character skills. Word of advice for dojo: do not use up your golden skill books. Those are very often required to unlock more skills. Just spam silver books.

Nope. You will struggle to clear 3 waves stage on Lunatic but it should not be that bad since all her shots are aoe. One thing to keep in mind is that her ability (graze = yang up) scales with the number of grazes. So, 2 grazes = 2 yang up. This is the same as Youmu and Luna too.

Staring up characters raises their stats but each star also raises their cost by 1. Early in the game you will be pretty low on stamina so each character suddenly costing 12 stamina is going to drain you empty fast while grinding, especially in events. Later in the game you can star up as often as you want since you will have thousands of stamina points more.

Full-Auto basically goes like this: In any wave that isn't the final wave, characters will each use a spellcard each turn starting from the left of their selection. They will keep using spells until they only have one left. If they only have 1 spell left they will just use one of their shots. They will never graze, use boosts or use skills in the first 2 waves. In the final wave, characters will go all out and use as many shields, boosts and skills as possible. They will also use the spell that is on the far right, which later in the game pretty much always is the last word. If the battle goes on long enough and skills finish their cooldown, characters will instantly use them again. Same with any shields the character gets back somehow. They will also keep using boosts as often as possible so they are constantly using lvl 1 boosts in long battles.

In general it is just your speed stat but some characters have attacks that do not just use the attack stats but also scale in damage with other stats. All of Sakuya's spell card attacks also scale with her speed stat for example. For most characters speed is a dump stat though since spell cards have priority anyway.

Most events come with a week long pre-event that has daily missions and the rewards for doing all those daily missions is usually a free costume which you can get even if you do not have the character in question yet. I had an outfit for Clownpiece for the longest time and only got her recently while rolling for the newest super limited character.

It's a pretty shitty attack because it is only a single hit with 80% base accuracy. If the enemy has any sort of evasion there is a good chance it will just miss and do 0 damage. Most attacks in the game hit multiple times so missing once isn't as noticeable

anons, are you scared of slowly hating some 2hu music due to the gacha overusing them? it happened to me in magireco. some parts in the anime are fucking ruined whenever i rewatch it:

To answer your question, I highly recommend (aside from not misusing the quote function) to listen to an album or podcast as you play. For example, I like listening to ZUN albums I need to catch up on or haven't listened to in a while, like Dolls in Pseudo Paradise. Still thematically fitting, but mixes it up.

You can also use pink cubes to roll in the banner. 600 cubes for a 10 roll but it gives you at least 1 character 100% of the time. You can also buy stuff with cubes in the shop. There are some costumes that increase drop rates during events but those are also a relatively new thing in the jap version so it will take a while for global to get them.

Or you use Medicine or Patchy who have wood attacks. Don't know who else has moon or wood attacks.
It's honestly fucking absurd though how the game has such mechanics and doesn't at least ensure you a free unit for each element. Even with Medicine and Patchy it's hard to break her because both of them need power to access their wood attacks and barely generate any. But at the same time once you break her she's just instantly dead because you can easily knock off her entire HP bar with a following attack.
This whole system feels like a mess.
