Not really. In legends there aren't too many half monster/half human looking things. You have like, mermaids, sirens/harpies, centaur... that's basically it. Giant centipede is just a centipede, satori is just an ape, yamabiko is a weird looking dog thing etc

Yeah, but unlike tigers (Shou), there is no widespread legend about the connection between centipedes and Bishamonten. Some say centipedes are worshiped by miners and therefore they are connected with Bishamonten, the god of wealth and jewel, others say it's actually the other way around.
Reasons why centipedes are worshiped by miners:
1) The shapes of mine shafts looks like centipedes.

Demonstrably by things like Symposium of Post-Mysticism, where Reimu arrives because weaker youkai were worried about Gensokyo getting a ruler and thus the balance falling apart, Reimu's actual motivation is the preservation of Gensokyo at its ideal form. That is: as a reserve for youkai. That being the case, youkai need to be scary and humans need to fight them because if they don't retain their mystique and keep being scary, they die out. This is seen in example by creatures such as yamabiko, who were basically explained away and rationalized so much that the race has nearly become extinct even within Gensokyo.

Reimu also isn't good at business. While she's interested in making money she's bad at it. Her first concern is always Gensokyo as a whole. If youkai aren't scary, then youkai will disappear, and Gensokyo will fall apart. That's why she's so insistent.

That said things like fairies, phantoms, and gods are more nebulous. Fairies are sometimes said to be similar to gods, and phantoms similar to fairies, in that people "believe" in them. They may exist off of faith instead of fear. I mean, in the first place people used to believe in fairies because "weird shit" happened around them. In Gensokyo fairies pull weird shit constantly, so their existence is secure
