However, the fact that their birth rate is pretty low and a good portion of their population is over 50 does not bode well at all for maintaining a culture. Japan isn't going to wake up one day and be a wasteland, but eventually you might see their culture and whatnot getting marginalized as shit when the gaijin come to bolster the industries when all those 50+ year old Japanese people decide to retire, or die.

To the thread: We've had this discussion a thousand times, Economic, political, and social conditions will change, and birth rates will climb again.
This isn't the fucking stone age where there are so few humans that a few women deciding not to get knocked up will destroy the species. People like you are why overpopulation is an issue.
