Hey /jp/, I was thinking of installing Linux and i'm wondering how good does linux works with most VN's.
Do any of you use Linux ? Do most of them work or do some work only on XP ?

I've been using Linux for a while and a good deal of VNs work. The only one's I've encountered problems with thus far are Clannad, Kana Imouto and Ever17. For those I just set up a Windows XP Virtual Machine to run them. The rest work fine in Wine with minor problems such as video not working. Saya no Uta and FSN both cannot go fullscreen on my system, I've heard some have the problem, others don't. There's a Linux port of ONscripter so games like Narcissu, Umineko and Tsukihime work just fine without Wine. You'll encounter some problems trying to install some of them, such as not being able to install because you lack the Japanese locale but that problem should be fixed by a simple "$LC_ALL= ja_JP wine Setup.exe"
For anything else you can't get running yourself, remember; Google is your friend.
The last thing I recommend is using CDEmu for disk emulation. It works wonders and supports more file types then the default linux ISO mounting tool.
