Guys, red alert!
I am going to Aizuwakamatsu and Yunokami!
Possibly even tomorrow! Keep the Yunokami camera st bay! I will update you.
Currently I am at Kanazawa, hitchhiked to here. Will try to go to Niigata and then to Aizuwakamatsu tomorrow. We will see if I try to hitchhike to Yunokami or actually shill out for the train ticked. For sure it will be in the later afternoon, if I even reach Yunokami tomorrow. Not sure if I am stay at Aizu or Niigata for just a bit longer.

I am coming in a 10 or so minutes. Spend way too much money on merchandise include the anime mascot and two Blu-rays with videos of the train station/line.
I told them about the gaijin watching the camera and they were happy. Said that many people seem to watch it. Not sure how much is many. Gave me a small present too.
I will definitely come again in the summer, for longer and actually try the expensive as hell onsen.

I also took pictures and videos of Aizuwakamatsu station. Will do some more and try to ask them about the camera. Also took a video of the train ride, but it is probably shitty as hell, as I don't have a smartphone stand. Should have maybe bought a cheap one earlier today, but who thinks about such things.

Really nice anon! I found this the other day, from one of the old aizu-wakamatsu threads, maybe some of you will find it interesting. I thought I had an image of when moot was there, but I can't find it. Travelling by train in Japan looks like lots of fun, I had a chance to do it in Europe and it was very enjoyable. Hope you had a good time anon.

So I was planning to upload all the photos and videos on mega, but I didn't get around it. And then a problem occurred. I washed my phones with the laundry. The photos should be saved in "high quality" by google, but not original quality. Also the big videos, or all videos, are surely missing. I sure screwed up this one.
To add the Tokyo jews won't let me buy a sim free phone. I will have to to back home and then get a new phone.

I do have the "high" version backed up. Actually surprising the two train videos on the way there were also saved in lower quality formats. Not the better going back to Aizu and also I took a video of going around Aizu station, but also pictures, so we have the pictures.
My phone's memory might be salvageable, but we will see. I ended finding the phone I wanted sim free in Akihabara, even for a bit cheaper.
About the light, I am actually not sure, but I think that anon that mentioned the heart thing is correct. I will have to check my own footage later to confirm maybe. You will be able to too after I finally upload it, just a bit too late for the original quality thought. I guess from 3 something mb pictures they are 2 something right now. That's like 1/3 detail lost.

I used to occasionally check weekends at Ebisu Circuit (https://ebisu-circuit.tv/cam0000.html)) to see if anything cool was being held. Often it was just expensive supercar meets or people drifting in the rain. They haven't streamed in winter for obvious reasons, but even when snow melted I noticed it was still offline. Found this in my reccs tonight, apparently the February earthquake damaged things in this area and the result was recorded by one of the course regulars.

Yes.
Japan isn't an "earthquake-proof" zone. They have different building codes to account for earthquakes but there's still likely to be some damage, even if buildings aren't collapsing. Broken windows and the like, building facades cracking and so on.
It was quite substantial shaking. At least as strong as last month's. Lasted a long time too.

Sorry for the delays, here are the Aizu-Yunokami pictures from my hitchhiking trip up to there earlier in the months.
As you are probably already aware I fucked up my phone, so these are "high quality" backups, not the original pictures, so there is between 1/3 and 1/2 quality loss. There is at least one 15GB video completely lost, the one on the train trip back to Aizu. The two videos of the trip from Aizu to Yunokami were backed up, but again, only in "high quality". They were filmed in 4K, but are 1080p now. From around 15GB down to less than 2GB.

The main attraction are the onsen, which can go for up to 40k+ a night. There were surprising number of people there. In retrospect I missed there is one easy to reach street I kind of missed on that has some nice rails views. There are some other a bit further places to go to. The 5 cameras from the site are actually not all from Yunokami, but from the area in general. There are other similar onsen villages in the area.
Bu the way the story behind /jp/ going in the trash is that because people couldn't read my shitty purple white board marker I had to buy a normal one from the only conbini in town and I couldn't remove it after. So I had to get a new board for the last day of the hitchhiking.
