'Sup /jp/, /d/eviant here. Just played Saya no Uta, thought it rocked, but it didn't have that certain special something that I normally enjoy. No, not dickgirls (contrary to stereotypes, that's just not my gig, maaan), but monster girls. Anyone know of VNs that feature monstergirls?

Not a clue, haven't played the game. However, the plot is about adding foreign DNA to your sister by means of sex which is supposed to cure her terminal illness, which makes no sense on at least three different levels. It also turns her into a monstergirl. You have a slot for every body part, so her left hand can be a bear paw while she has a cat tail and her body is transparent slime. Having the same critter (all rabbit, all slime etc. ) for every slot unlocks special scenes.

She also grows a dick at some point.

To be honest, I tried playing it and had no real idea what the heck I was doing half the time. It was pretty big on /jp/ a while back though, so maybe if you search the archives/ghostboard/whatever (assuming they work that way) you might find instructions on how to do what.

I only played it once without understanding anything (I wasn't even using ATLAS at that point) and finished it, but there's still tons of scenes to unlock; I didn't feel like playing it again untranslated though, especially because it got really tedious later on (annoyingly, you can only clone DNA a limited number of times before it gets depleted, so even once you have a stockpile of the best DNA you can get you still have to keep going out to collect more)

Born Freaks was a fucking weird game.

Moe-moe silly goofy happy-happy at the start that turns into fucking depressive disaster at the end. What the fuck. I never did get the final ending though, which was probably the happy ending, but replaying through the whole game just to get another ending was too fucking tedious eventually.

The angel was my favorite form, looked so awesome.

I never figured out how the combat works in Born Freaks! Before I get around to reinstalling and playing it, anyone have a good explanation?

Also, this shows which attribute you get depending on where you place which dna chip. I can't remember exactly what telomere does, I guess keeps them from cracking during battle or protects them from changing into different chips?

I have no idea really, I always pretty much put it on auto. Different chips had different functions and options, which changed depending on where they were placed. An offensive oriented chip might give you a 'Boost Attack' option when placed in the torso or something while a different one might give you a 'Heal Self' option when placed in the right position but might give you a completely different option when placed somewhere else. It was pretty complicated and confusing as I recall.
