Do you all play on slippery copals?
I tried tightening the copals on my turbocharger+ and they were already tight so I tightened them more and they made a hissing noise. I put the knobs back on and they didn’t feel stiffer, still slippery. How do I get arcade style knobs? Do I need an external power source if I get the arcade encoders?
I’ve played on a sdvx4 cab and the knobs are tight when moving slow and loose when moving fast. Copals are extra loose all the time.

A scratch input requires 2 ticks from the turntable. Old model turntables have 72 ticks per revolution in the test menu (1 per tooth). Lightning model turntables have 144 (2 per tooth). I'm planning on getting my first iidx controller, and I have a couple of questions:
1) is the FPS worth it? 200 burgerbucks for such a tiny piece of shit seems a bit excessive, and was wondering, since I'll be spending a lot of money anyway, if it instead would make more sense to pay a little extra for a phoenixwan, or maybe the yuancon when it's back in stock. I don't care about accuracy to the arcade, just about the quality of the controller on its own;
2) how long does it usually take for gamo2 to deliver to Europe?
3) hom much of a pain in the ass is it to switch from keyboard to controller?

Yuancon is supposedly most arcade accurate, though you don't care about this, but the TT isn't the greatest. Also you have to stalk the discord for when the stock is ready for order which is always soontm. I know, but it still feels weird that the cheapest option is still $200 and isn't even arcade accurate. I mean, the cheapest sdvx controllers are a lot cheaper than the fps, yet are arcade accurate. I understand the controllers for some other games being expensive as fuck compared to sdvx, because they're either much bigger like gitadora's guitar or drums, or with weird costly input devices like the air notes in chunithm or the touch sliders in project diva. an iidx controller is literally seven buttons and a dining plate on a box, which isn't all that more complex than a sdvx controller, yet costs a fuckton more when at the same level of quality.

Anime music is notoriously expensive/difficult to license due to being part of the larger Japanese music industry, even more so when licensing visuals as well.
I think Konmais thought process is that multiple cheaper licenses from Exit Tunes means more longterm profitability
(Current season anime being more profitable/relevant compared to last years anime) in terms of more songs for players and cheaper fees for Konmai with longer licensing periods.
I assume Sega just throws a whole lot of money at their games for short term current anime licenses to attract new players.
