I really do wonder what kind of sad, pathetic, and possibly boring life a person needs to go through to actually get so defensive about a video game series, streamer, or image board. Sure, these meta threads pop up every now and then, and most of the people participating in this shitstorm are probably just bored and looking to annoy people online, but this is just sad. Even sadder is the fact that actual discussion (i.e. hobbyist threads and niche subject threads that would belong in "otaku culture" by the traditional definition, and I don't mean threads that are just image dumps about a single character) is getting hurt by all of this.
