It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't really great either. The only hard normal monsters are the axe throwers, and they are absolutely retarded until you realize the hitboxes on the axe/your hitbox are all fucked up and you have to take it slow and snipe with your whip. Flight/danmaku shooting is absolutely worthless, which makes collecting the powerups useless. If you use all of your Marisas, Sakuya is an absolute joke. You don't have to dodge anything, just Marisa, Whip, Whip, Whip, Marisa, repeat.

I enjoyed the demo. The only thing I really didn't like is the hitbox on the flying fairies-- sometimes they can even hit you when you're ducked way under them.

Seems OK in terms of difficulty since the demo is supposed to be stage 3. Sakuya was challenging but nothing too hard. Most of her attacks could be avoided by the tried and true "run the fuck away" strategy

Need to fix Reimu's flying too. Being stuck pointing in one direction.. no sir, I don't like it.

This too. I was trying to just whip and shoot Sakuya to death but then realized I could just spam Marisa almost endlessly and kill her. Probably needs to be reduced in damage/effectivity a little bit..

After a few playthroughs, I can comment on this:

-Could use multiple subweapons like a classic Castlevania game would. There's no reason not to include them because Reimu has plenty of items she carries around like the Yin-Yang orb or maybe other items like beans (the Oni thing).

-I don't really like the flying idea, it's a bit awkward. I would be happy enough with just a double jump. Plus one of the problems is that you can't change directions while in flight.

Overall, great idea. Just needs polishing.

playing it on a gamepad makes it easy mode, playing it on keyboard is ballbusting.

bat's have to small a hitbox
axe fairies bottom thrown axes don't require you to duck
flight is awkward and easily abused
sakuya doesn't have a cooldown time to hit her almost forcing you to take damage to get in her face.
All weapons do the same amount of damage, your sub weapon is almost always a better choice than your whip or your super sub.

but besides that as a castlevainia fan I enjoyed this demo.
