I must say, as happy as I was that system0 was in it, it was a terrible version. Of course, there are probably more important things than the music, but whatever. Also, it's a real shame that they seem to want to put murders at the ends of episodes. It really breaks up the pacing, and is probably a large part of why Golden Slaughterer has yet to sound good.

It's not the best adaptation ever but I like being able to see the mansion animated instead of just photoshopped photographs. Even if they've butchered the music it should still be fun to watch scenes like Rosa killing shit with gold bars.

We've had pretty different experiences, it seems... the mansion is way more spacious and less carpeted than I imagined (carpets+wood instead of tiled floors and brick walls) which is pretty unpleasant, and I hated Maria in the VN, but am really enjoying her in the anime. The associated a different term, a different purpose and a different being altogether and got a mess.
And this happened a few good hundred years after when the bible and most prominent writings we use were written.
Instead of holding it's proper meaning, they now use falsely a jumbled mess that came about later.

Hebrew meaning is adversary/enemy, which means contrary to what pop culture, Sunday school, and crazy Bible-thumpers might have taught you, "Satan" is more of a CONCEPT than an actual Biblical creature.

You know, I really don't think there's much more depth to the stakes' names than a reference and some characterization.

The possible exception being if the stakes used to kill someone has some significance. Like if Lucifer killing Eva would have some relevance. But that's mostly a metaphorical clue. I doubt the story behind the angels has much to do with anything.

There seems to be a lot of confusion over whether Belphegor is associated with sloth or lust, the former being a newer development from Reformation-era writers and wannabe demonologists and the latter being the original religious association.
