Like The Dreamquest of Unknown Kadath, or the Silver Key? Those "dreamland" stories were different in tone from his other ones, but they still shared a lot of the same elements. Still I guess you could set a fantasy eroge there. Call it "The Catgirls of Ulthar" or something.

Umm, what? He's right. Lovecraft's stories never formed a coherent "mythos". August Derleth and others did after his death, and it's shit. Lovecraft's stories were only linked insofar as they often had share themes.

Case in point Asentath Waite from "The Thing on the Doorstep" is from Innsmouth and the story hints at the events in the Shadow over Innsmouth.

Ok, here's the storyline

The main character is H.P. Lovecraft himself and takes place in and around Providence, Rhode Island in 1921. The VN begins with the death of Lovecraft's mother. At the time, Howard is still a struggling writer and has yet to learn the terrible truths of the universe.

While staying in his mother's large house with only the young Maid Violet for company a visitor comes calling. It's Dr. Arthur Boland of Miskantonic Universitry, an old acquaintance of his father's. The man is carrying with him an odd package that he leaves with Lovecraft. He swears he is being followed and promises to return in the morning.

Inside the package is an obscene and blasphemous idol that causes poor Violet to faint when she looks upon it. A statue of a hideous, Squid-headed figure in a crouching position, seemingly caste from solid gold. Yet the hue is off and it is extremely light, far more so than gold should be.

The next morning, the Police arrive. Dr. Boland was found strangled and stabbed to death in an alley, and Lovecraft is now the prime suspect. After being cleared of the charges, Lovecraft sets out to learn what happened to the good doctor and what he was running from. This quest leads from the musty sections of the Miskatonic library to Innsmouth and the shores of R'yleh itself.

Fuckable characters along the way.

Violet- The Lovecraft family maid. She is loyal to a fault and felt a deep sympathy for Howard Lovecraft as she saw how deeply grieved he was at his mother's death. She insists on accompanying Lovecraft in his travels and her sanity suffers terribly from the horrors they witness together. Particularly while in Innsmouth when she is forcibly inducted into the Deep One's breeding program. In her True End, she kills herself and Lovecraft mourns her forever. In her Good End she ends up in an insane Asylum and travels to the manor to collect the last known copy of the Necronomicon after his death.

Juliet Marsh- A smoking hot MILF and high priestess of Dagon. The only bit of the Innsmouth look is a greenish hue to her skin. Pretty much whatever happens, she rapes Lovecraft while he is in Innsmouth. Her only end involves her making Lovecraft into her personal fucktoy, which doesn't sound so bad at first, but she slowly changes into a hideous, four breasted fish-toad-thing and then drags a screaming Lovecraft into the depths.

Melody Boland- Dr. Boland's megannekko daughter. Missing since his return from Antarctica. She turns out to be possessed by a Yithian and is quite interested in learning about human sexuality.

A mysterious, dark-skinned loli- Appears everywhere Lovecraft goes. She turns out to be an avatar of Nyarlathotep and takes Lovecraft on a tour of Azathoth's court. She then has sex with him for the blind, idiot god's amusement.

In both her ends, she is mortally wounded by a gun wielding cultist. However, in the true end she tells Lovecraft that she has fallen in love with him. Then gives him an exact location and date and tells him "be there."

Lovecraft goes there, finds what seems to be a massive gate powered by green crystals. He activates it, and THIS comes shambling out.
