Ep1 when Battler followed the servants to the kitchen and while speaking with them noticed that their gaze was a little off while they was talking about Beatrice. Or when Maria pointed out that Beatrice has just sent them a letter while they were in Kinzo's study.

Don't remember clearly, but there was one at the beginning of episode 2, where the narration basically drags on and on about the family arriving at the harbor AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN META-BEATRICE OUT OF NOWHERE KICKS IN WITH ROCKING SCREEN AND AHAHA.WAV TROLLING FULL AHEAD. I wasn't expecting that.
I was spoiled on episode 3, so that didn't do much for me except for the witch of the kitchen part, but I was grinning like an idiot when they started the "sign it, siiiiiignnnn it"
Also, like two hours ago I was reading the part on episode 4 were Maria is treated like a fucking nothing by Rosa and Ange keeps telling her that and she just goes "no stop it you're just seeing the sad part I see the happy part". Felt heartrending man.

Hm, I can't say any of the scenes made me "jump" per se, but I did get incredibly mad at the end of Episode 3. My mind was blown completely as I was not expecting something like that to occur at all.

Then again, I always seem pretty slow at anticipating twists.

It didn't make me jump, but it did fuck my head up for at least 12 hours: The second to eighth twilights in episode 4. It started off serious, then it just became more and more absurd, and in the end it just became ridiculous. The music really helped, too.

The mouth biting thing, and some of the sound effects get me. Red Dread too, there's some REALLY terriying noises in Umineko. I think Umineko made a bit afraid of the dark.
