Where the FUCK did this plot device come from anyway?

No, not the arm, the shroud on it.

Who the fuck is Martin and why does his Shroud seal Servant arms.

Martin was a warrior mouse who founded Redwall, hence the red shroud.

If they were regular sized woodland animals,
a) There's no way in fuck an otter could use a sword a mouse could and
b) Salamandastron must have been a fucking TINY volcano.

If you read the original Redwall and Martin the Warrior, Cats are apparently dragons and snakes are about the same size.

Also, why didn't Rin realize sooner that she needed something of the servants it order to summon them?

Interesting. Any particular way to interpret that, or is it a name-only reference? (I can see the "chaplain" connection suppressing the arm's urge to start spitting swords everywhere.)

He was writing for kids. The guy has no real writing talent he just makes up half of the story and lets the rest froth in your head.

literally, theres only a few points in all of his books where anything of note occurs that changes a character's motives. That is what is GREAT about the stories, they don't bother trying to make some great point about something it just adventure and characters having a good time with each other.

>I fucking loved the Redwall books as a kid. It's a miracle that I didn't end up as a furfag.

Furfags have a rampant sexual attraction to animals. Redwall works even if the characters are just human, they're only animals so that everyone can get into it without feeling left out due to race or whatever.

The animals in question behave more human than anything else, unlike furries and their 'yiffing'.
