There are people in the thread that are saying things like, this will be the end of eroge, etc. It may sound overblown to us, but that is how they feel. They are talking about which political party they should support, which is supporting the ban. It's as if they never had any interest in politics until suddenly they realized that their eroge would be taken away from them.

The problem is that we have trolls on both sides, who don't really want to understand each other. When you are criticized, your first reaction is to lash back. That is what Sankaku did. And of course the Japanese commenters are reacting to that, among other things.
