She turns and looks at you quizzically.

"Should I not proceed and finish them off while I have the chance?" the girl asks. Seeing her disagreeing look, you quickly formulate an excuse.

"I'm too injured to fight. If anyone comes while you're after them I won't be able to defend myself or Caster. I don't even know your name."

The girl in blue closes her eyes before responding. "I am the Servant Saber. I do not know what Servant Caster is doing here or why you're tending to her, but I should finish her off while we have the chance."

Heavily bleeding, you start to explain the situation to Saber. Saber notices your condition and is instantly at your side to prevent you from falling over from blood loss. You swear you can feel yourself being picked up as you pass out.

As you wake up in the morning, the first thing you notice is your arm and hand is healed. For a moment you wonder if it was a dream before a voice calls you.

in theory, caster only needs a tiny amount of mana, she's a magus herself and has the capacity on her own to be strong as needed, or even have some sort of circular mana sharing with saber for even extra strength. the only thing she's lacking is a link to a master to stay in the game.

Without a contract, the World tries to 'erase' servants much faster.
Saber, almost full, whould dissapear in a few hours without a new master, while a few Servants like Archer and Rider can last at least for a day.
But without a contract, you'd have to constantly fill up and fighting battles would probably be BAD for your supply.
If you have a contract, the mana loss just for existing is minimal.

It will give me an anchor and boost my power some, but his mana will be split between us. We'll be able to fight, but neither of us will be even close to full power. Three, I can bind myself to a place. This will also give me an anchor. The family in charge of this area has a leyline with great power. There is also the temple. I sensed a great deal of potential when I was near it. If we can gain access to it, I will be able to draw incredible amounts of mana. Four, I use my noble phantasm to negate your contract with Saber and form a contract with you. I then form a contract with Saber. The mana transfer between us would be much more efficient than you taking two servants, and I could maintain Saber fairly close to her abilities. I have a feeling that Saber won't like that idea. The final option, well lets say it's a last resort and I highly doubt either of you would agree to it."
