This is so true. Comparing the discussions I see take place here, and what I've seen in /a/ over the last few weeks... /a/ has really dropped to near /v/ levels (which was already pretty much /b2/).

I still don't see why Touhou shouldn't just go in /v/, or at least /a/ (it has an anime now, so it can) but maybe it is better this way. Maybe /jp/ can simply function as a place for the sort of 'elite' of /a/ to take refuge. I don't think everyone in /jp/ would want to 'merge' with /a/ again.

They generally cover more than needed. For example in my country you are not allowed to carry a knife, because it could be used in a fight. The fact that it could be used to cut safety belts to pull people out of burning cars and other things doesn't matter. It can be used in a fight, so it is banned.
