The western Touhou fanbase wouldn't get so much shit for being crappy if all the Eientei fans just all packed up and left.

I've always felt that among out shit fanbase, the worst of the lot tend to like SDM better.
Just saying, I don't think it's a causality thing.

I mean, seriously. It bought all the decent characters in and has the best final boss fight of the series, what's not to love?

(well, barring Utsuho's fight, anyway)

Seems like at least 50% of the music is PCB-related.

PCB does have the best soundtrack all-around, now that I think of it. It's also a nice medium between the frustrating difficulty of EoSD and the relative ease of IN. And it gave us the Yakumos and brought back Alice. I guess that's my favorite, then.

>> No.2634579

>>2634564
Maybe it's because I started with it, but I found 1ccing EoSD to be easier than PCB thanks to the Prismrivers and Yuyuko.

>> No.2634589

>>2634579
Huh. Patchouli is much harder than Prismrivers, especially with MarisaB, and I don't think Yuyuko is that much harder than Remilia. But overall EoSD is the game I played the least, so I may be wrong.

>Patchouli is much harder than Prismrivers, especially with MarisaB.

It's the opposite for me. The Prismrivers' non-spells were pretty frustrating to learn and their second (assuming I'm facing Merlin) and third cards have a good chance of taking either lives or bombs from me.

Now with regards to Patchouli, do you have usually trouble with her first or second card? I find myself bombing on Trilithon over half the time (thanks to the rank system) but I can almost always get Metal Fatigue.

The thing about Yuyuko which I've found is that she's harder to learn (or at least was for me), but easier to consistently defeat with similar scores. Thanks to the way some of Remilia's third non-spell, Scarlet Shoot and Red Magic, I find my performance against her varies greatly each time.

Oh Reginald...
I DISAGREE.

I haven't properly played against Patchouli yet, but Trilithon looks utterly insane. It's fine on Hard, but it just gets ridiculous on Lunatic. The small leaf bullet cards are also annoying with their weird angles. Still, I have to keep in mind EoSD gives you much less resources than PCB and that my usual response to Prismrivers is just bombing the hell out of them.

>> No.2634757

>>2634710
If by small leaf bullet cards you mean Sylphae Horn and Sylphae Horn High Level, I've found the best way to dodge them is to limit your movement to vertical actions, since horizontal deviation tends to force you away from Patchouli thereby now allowing you to damage her and forcing you to bomb. It's just what I do though.

What I'd like to know is how to capture Princess Undine and Drown in Lake, because I always seem to find myself trapped by the blue bullets she shoots after each set of rays.
