What's the longest you've ever played a VN for in a single session?

>> No.2603283

Probably 14-18 hours

>> No.2603285

Try 36 hours.

>> No.2603286

probably 6 hours or so, easily 8-10 if you don't count quick dinner/lunch as a break.
I miss my free days.

>> No.2603287

>>2603285
Which VN was that?

>> No.2603293

2 1/2 days according to the internal clock but thats counting bathroom breaks,
thereafter I was persuaded to move my computer away from my bed.

>if you don't count quick dinner/lunch as a break.
Yeah, I don't count any of that stuff - basically, as long as you don't do any other leisure activities (like watching TV, reading, playing a different VN) and the breaks aren't too long (like sleeping) in the meantime.

>> No.2603298

I played about half of WLO in one go, and that was a good 40 hours, but I didn't really do much eroge-ing after that for a little while.

>> No.2603301

>>2603287

Phantom of Inferno. Shitty DVD format + password, and well, i was hooked by the story.

>> No.2603307

>>2603301

You need the dvd for that game right? cant mount it

I heard their were alot of glitches too, random crashes

>> No.2603311

>>2603307

Use Power DVD to play it.

>> No.2603326

I dunno, more than 30 hours I think.

>> No.2603338

I beat Kagetsu Tohya in one sitting without a walkthrough.

>> No.2603349

I tend to pace myself, but I ended up playing the latter half of Chaos Head in an evening.

5 hours?

>> No.2603351

12 hours of planetarian on auto, with a few stops.

>> No.2603352

I don't play more than 3 hours before I take a break.

I like VNs at all, but I can only read WORDSWORDSWORDS for so long before I need a quick break.

I played my first route in Hello, World from start to ending in a single session. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I became completely engrossed, I also kept thinking "Well, it's almost over now. Just a little more." only to find out that it wasn't almost over, but kept on going anyway.

What I remember distinctly is that the next day I woke up with tears, I don't remember what dream I had but I think the combination of sleep deprivation and the fucking depressing as hell ending I reached got to me.

The ending was just one entire "FUCK YOU, ENJOY YOUR FUTILITY" in my face. Mika ending where everything goes to fucking hell and she spends the rest of her life trying to scrounge up spare parts to "fix" him, utterly convinced that if she endures hard enough he'll wake up one day. Her deluded optimism born out of desperation was just painful to see.

Whats the theme in this VN? action, horror, adventure etc.

>> No.2603430

>>2603406
Moe robot disguise himself as a human to understand their feelings.
Cuteness ensue.
At least that's what you think at first, before the HELL ON EARTH trainwreck begins.
Great eroge.

>> No.2603433

>>2603430
... oh god. I wish there was a translation. Sounds like my kind of a trainwreck.

>> No.2603930

Played Kana from dawn to dusk, about... 13 hours excluding going to the bathroom.

>> No.2604200

Only one I'm sure about was True Remembrance in one sitting, which was 6-8 hours.
However, for good VNs (such as Fate/stay night, Umineko, Clannad, etc), I often just disregard the time and keep playing into the night if I'm close to the ending, so I have no idea what my real longest session is.

Phantom of Inferno DVD
48 hours straight without break

Adorable robot crabs

>> No.2605395

Probably about 4 hours.
My concentration can't hold out much longer than that.

>> No.2605410

My FS/N thing says 4 days and 13 hours...

>> No.2605414

Dunno, but I completely shut myself in when I was reading Tsukihime and played it obsessively to the point of being scared of my own mirror reflection (lack of sleep etc.)

>> No.2605422

Tsukihime, spend the best of a weekend on it to go from 0% to 100%.

>> No.2605440

>>2605410
You stayed awake 4 and a half days straight playing it without breaks?

>> No.2605450

Ever17, Cocos route ,start to finish, ~9 hours of brickshitting

>> No.2605453

Around 16 hours, the next day I had one hell of an headache and began speaking both japanese and english together with my main language.
Shit was weird.

>> No.2605455

Probably about 10+ hours for Umineko.

>> No.2605466

Around 20 hours, with a few bathroom breaks and breaks for meals.

>> No.2605476

Tsukihime far side in one sitting. Well, I guess I took ~1 hour nap break in between routes.

>> No.2605506

I completed Tsukihime in one sitting per route. I don't know how long they are. 8-10 hours?

Although I might have surpassed that with F/SN or Clannad but I don't really keep track.

>> No.2605510

>>2605450

Same. I read all that in one sitting.

>> No.2605512

13 hours, Yume Miru Kusuri, Nekoko's route.

Also my first real VN experience (the 3 others I played before it were just play-to-fap).

Never been the same since.

>> No.2605532

>>2605512
Nekoko's route doesn't take 13 hours to complete, even if you read really slowly.

>> No.2605541

Probably was while playing Knights of Xentar sometime. RPGs have a tendency to keep you playing longer than you planned to, especially if you die without having saved recently.

>> No.2607568

>especially if you die without having saved recently.

Opposite for me, if this happens regardless of how entertaining the game is, I lose complete interest. I fucking hate re-doing shit

>> No.2607574

Episode 3 of Umineko, no idea how long it really is.

>> No.2607630

i'd say probably 10 hours? probably less.

>> No.2607633

>>2607574
That took me 18 hours (not all at once), but I'm kinda a slow reader.

>> No.2608038

I actually took a week-long break halfway through Coco's route.
Damn parents had to take me on the worst vacation ever for a week. WHILE I WAS HALFWAY THROUGH THE COCO ROUTE.
