when will round1 get rid of the useless maimai and crossbeat cabs for something like nostalgia or pop'n?

>> No.25931661

>>25931381
Never. maimai is only in US stores because it's "useless". We might end up with the older pop'n cabs if New pop'n ends up being well received and they don't revert back to the original style. Or Round1 might even order some specifically for US stores.
Deprecated games like Museca, CrossxBeats, Pop'n, Theatrhythm, maimai, and Taiko are just floor filler games at this point. They do get shifted from store to store sometimes though. When it closes next month SSM's fantasia is getting sent to a California store from what I heard. I'm not sure where their Taiko 14 is going.

Wires would be something like this.
https://www.adafruit.com/product/1952?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI27Kv1ujL6wIVUPDACh0rqgjFEAQYBSABEgIju_D_BwE
You'd need quick disconnects for the button ends of the wires though. I think they're .187 but they could also be .250. It's hard to tell from the picture and there's no mention of switch terminal size in the listing.

>> No.25945815

>>25945610
And to clarify you'd cut off the female end and crimp on a quick disconnect to connect it to the microswitch. The wires can also just be plugged into each other if you need to make them longer. You can do this without soldering.

The switches on my controller are 187 width quick disconnects. the .250 are for the LED power.
I used these LEDs for my popn controller [https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/miniature-and-subminiature-bulbs/194-led-bulb-1-led-miniature-wedge-retrofit-car/197/850/] but they are 12v. You can get the same style in other voltages

Is the usb connection enough to power the leds? Or do i need to get anything extra for them to work?

>> No.25947414

>>25946075
Those are 1/4" .250. You probably need .187 which is 3/16". The terminal for the lights is definitely .250 though.
You also want two packs of those jumper wires since you need 18 wires in total and you're probably going to have to double up on the length of your white and yellow buttons.
I can't think of what bulbs you need off the top of my head. I'm sure the arduino probably only puts out 5V though.

>> No.25948271

>>25947414
Yeah looks like my arduino is "Operating Voltage: 5V ; Input: Voltage (recommended):7-9V"

That's how anime cons more or less used to be before Anthony. Convention specific arcade ops were around back then but not quite at the scale of recent years. A lot of the time it was either a local arcade bringing in machines or an assortment of private owners. Game rooms used to also be pay to play. I remember change machines breaking down a lot of the time at ACen. Also the horrific unwashed weeb stench of the Hyatt basement and how they had to frequently shut the arcade down to air it out.

Gaming expos like Midwest Gaming Classic or MAGfest are also mostly private cab owners.
It's not impossible, there are people out there who want others to be able to enjoy their games too. It's just more of an effort to coordinate multiple owners bringing in their machines.

Then all you need is a drill, which everyone should own, and these days you can get a cordless one for 10 bucks. A couple of drill bits is 5 bucks, one of those chink USB zero latency things is 10 bucks, and then all you need is buttons and a ruler to make it.

My IIDX controller was almost as easy to build, but I get that some people don't want to do things more involved like using encoders and arduinos and shit.

It seems the PCB itself isn't being sold anywhere to my knowledge. So I'm planning to send it to a friend that's more technologically oriented than I am. So I played the 15 songs on hard gauge because I wanted to to unlock Juggler's Madness, but was met with phase 6 songs. Any idea if this is a problem with my data or if the network doesn't support Omega dimension?

If you check the review of the bar here
https://www.maty-taneczne.pl/shop/handbar/
you will see that the manufacturer were aware of the issue and have fixed it. I have the new bar, which has a marker for "arcade level", and I haven't had any problems since I got my pad about 6 months ago. You might want to mod the pad to make it more sensitive if you are going to do a lot of brackets, but it hasn't been a problem for me since I can't play technical charts on that level (yet).

I assume the phases are paged through via the FX buttons then.

What are the shortest song/requiring the least amount of inputs/attention to clear in SDVX IV?
I live in Europe and can't pay an Asian to grind Omega Dimension. Straight up just ticking "force unlock all music" feels like cheating and risk corrupting my scores.
Mainly looking for pure time to clear grind since time is the only limiting factor for me.
