I've mentioned this in the past - they place a hold on your card for the value of the order, so you can't spend it but they don't have the funds either and you shouldn't have to pay interest (if you have no interest-free days). I just bought Flandre, Sakuya, and Remilia and the order went through just fine initially. But then I got a text message from my bank saying they declined the Flandre and Sakuya purchase because they assumed it wasn't me. I texted back saying I purchased it. It's because Tenso gives you a unique virtual address to your account, and gift limits by address. Proxies like white rabbit express only have a limited number of mailing addresses they have access to. It's also probably why Tenso requries a real ID to use, as you are technically being given a real unique JP mailing address to use.

I think this is normal, so I honestly don't know what your bank was talking about but it doesn't sound declined to me. Hard to say. Gift don't seem to re-release older series fumos, instead opting to release updated versions. The lowest one still being re-released as of now is Kaguya (series 17), and all the fumos before that have had an updated version except for Suwako and Meiling. So IF they re-release Meiling I think it will be an updated version yes.

You seem to be new to auctions in general.

Sniping is how you win auctions. Period. Don't bid until the last few minutes, but also know the max you're willing to pay well beforehand and do not go over that in a bid war. It's easy to get emotional and end up paying more than something is worth in those last few minutes.

By bidding early, you reveal interest in an item and make people watch it more closely than they otherwise would.

You will have to beat them by playing their game. Go to the auction page in those last few minutes and bid until it would be overpaying to bid more.

Touhou's definitely not reclining. Although it's golden age is over, TH has been experiencing a small Renaissance lately, with tons of fangames, music production high as usual, tons of officially sponsored stuff like Lost Word and Cannonball and the fact that TH17 came out recently.

Touhou will probably never reach the peak of it's popularity again, but that does mean it can't grow its scope and fanbase.
