I have a lot of free time at work. How do I learn JP quickly? I only have an android cellphone. I have kanji tree installed but I quickly forget all the words because it doesnt have easy sentences for practicing the words you learned. Im 29, used to watch a lot of anime in my teens, I can understand like 70%+ from hearing, but thats it. My goal is to understand everything in jp vidya games.

You can't learn jp quickly outside of an intensive academic setting or immersion.

Do RTK (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1956010956)) and study at least a chapter of Tae Kim's grammar guide per day. Maintain some notes to not forget the lessons. After a couple of months you'll know a lot of grammar and all the jouyou kanji, then it's just a matter of learning vocab and any grammar that you come across.

In all honesty... Don't. Its a dying language and they lost the war. Unless you have a very specific field of expertise and you have to communicate with those slimy oriental gooks, you'd be better off finding something better to do with your time.

we've had 6 months of lockdown, if you had started 6 months ago, you would be at least moving from beginer to intermediate at this point, think about that, now think about what you should be doing for the next six months.

Is there any app or site that allows you to meet/talk with native speakers? Wish I could have more Japanese friends that would practice Japanese with me, and I could talk with them in English and my native language in exchange.

Why the fuck would you wanna learn Japanese for the sake of that boring shit instead of for the sake of reading fantasy novels and manga?

I recently downloaded Hiragana Pro and Katakana as well as Busuu. The first two are excellent at quickly teaching you the alphabet. Now I can sort of translate stuff. Kanji is a roadblock but most manga aimed at kids and teenagers avoid kanji. Busuu helps you learn vocab and sentence structure a little but I haven't used it much yet so I couldn't say how good it is. From what I can tell you should be able to be fairly conversational which is my goal. If you're just trying to learn how to read text then the first two apps and a dictionary should really be enough. Still don't know a good kanji shortcut.

>How do I learn JP quickly?
Go to some inaka province capital. Only take your documents, a single set of season-appropriate clothes and around $50 with you. And then try to survive. This is the only way to learn Japanese (or any other language) quickly.
