Just finished up Kinshin Hishou Demonbane. I complained about the gameplay earlier but actually it's fine after you get good. Strangely enough, I found Augustus to be the most challenging fight particularly because he is incredibly punishing if you make a mistake and his second attack pattern leaves very little room for openings. The gun form is entirely useless except for the final boss and the second part of Augustus. For everything else, it's basically just switch to sword mode and do some combination of button mashing + sidestepping. I haven't figured out how to unlock the third free fight yet (did already go and beat everything else once more just to see if anything would happen), but that'll be for later I guess.

As for the actual story, I found it to be way better than the first game. Not that there was anything terrible wrong with the first one, but it's a pretty standard zero to hero story. Certainly enjoyable with some fun characters but it also felt a pretty repetitive since the routes are all pretty similar to each other. Kinshin Hishou doesn't have this problem of course (since it's all linear), but also the scenario is a lot more interesting to me. There's still all the hero huzza, but it has a lot of weirder, more unsettling parts in it which I thought was interesting. It's a lot less of a standard story in structure and felt more "free-flowing" if that makes any sense.

I really liked how they made it quite meta with the huge role that Al and Kurou from Al's normal end played in this. The whole thing is basically their fault for not being able to bring up Kuzaku properly (the price you pay when you become gods that eternally fight evil). In all fairness, I wouldn't be able to stop smashing Al either if I was in Kurou's shoes (god or not), so I guess a half book/half human kid was inevitable. Nyarlathotep taking advantage of that and creating Another Blood and trapping them both in a constant game of traveling across worlds just to get back at Kurou and Al was a pretty good evil masterplan. I liked it. Glad that everyone got a good happy end in the true end. Even the cool Arab dude got some screentime there at the end (wasn't expecting that). The scenes of Al and Kurou being a cute couple were great and exactly what I was hoping for. The way it ended on those two really nailed it. The one thing the first game does have over this one is the Liber Legis vs Demonbane fight in chapter 15, but other than that I really liked Kinshin Hishou way more. Honestly, that surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to be that good.

The art wasn't bad but the zombies that rape them are voiced and won't shut up about how good it feels to rape them during the scenes. Even if you turn of the voice it's not really great. It was also hard rape, aka more like they're just being physically brutalized until they dissociate out and eventually die. If that's your thing you'll like it but it's not really my taste, I don't mind rape I prefer if the girl feels some kind of pleasure during the rape even if she hates it. If it's not your fetish there's basically 0 eroticism. These were just depressing, with the narrative going on about how life is brutal and crushing the girls, and the zombie voices were boner killers. I think there were a few plot details spread among them but nothing that major.

Finished reading Kotora's route in Loveressive a couple days ago. Overall I'd say it was a pretty good time, the common route I feel like was the weakest part of the vn while the route itself was borderline perfect as far as dokidoki moege goes. Kotora is definitely a top tier girl for me at least even if the vn wasn't as strong as it could have been.

Now that I'm done with that I was hoping I could get some recommendations of some plotge as I feel like I've been reading too much moege recently so want to change it up a bit. I've read very few plotge so any would be good. Thanks for any in advance.

Why? That would mean the story might change to fit the porn, that's not necessary.
I always thought it's best to let the porn be a nice side-content that doesn't affect the story of the games, unless they plan the entire game around the h-scenes from the very beginning.

This. I've sat on torrents for a long time which were seemingly dead only for a seed to pop up out of nowhere and complete it for me.

In some cases, torrents really are just dead though and no matter how long you wait no seed ever shows up.

A big thanks whoever was shilling ogg-winmm (https://github.com/maximilien-noal/ogg-winmm)) a couple of threads ago or so. It seems to work perfectly. I think _inmm.dll failed because the game doesn't directly load winmm.dll but it loads some other dll that loads that one. That particular ogg-winmm for seems to be capable of detecting whenever a winmm.dll is loaded in the process and injecting the custom/built one. Very nice. That saved me a lot of pain. The only downside is that you need some 2015 C++ microsoft shit for it to run which effectively means it'll only work on 7 and up but that's alright.

I read about 20 times faster than most of the rest of you - with the exception of a few bibliophiles. My stamina for reading in general and reading VNs in particular is far higher than the rest of you. Because VNs aren't drawn out for me, I don't suffer through the slice of life and daily scenes like some of you do. I can sit back and enjoy what I'm reading without feeling any stress whatsoever from the reading itself, as long as the VN isn't too bad. In addition, even scenes too difficult to read for the average VN-player are relatively simple for me to read, so i don't get significantly stressed out by that factor either.
One of the reasons people tend to get tired of VNs is a lack of stimulation due to low reading speed. I read fast enough that a good VN's stimulation will be close to constant, whereas a slow reader will sometimes come to feel 'in-between' scenes that are meant to be short and informative as painful and long.
The act of reading in itself can bring me something close to sexual pleasure if what I'm reading is interesting. The reason I like chuunige is because to me, the stimulation from a good chuunige is actually better than sex. There is always something going on and that something is usually meant to shake up the emotions or engage the intellect. Since, for me, reading something like this really does give me so much pleasure, I can honestly say that concerns about length don't bother me at all, lol.

Most horror games have the "issue" that horror relies on you not knowing what's going on, once that's revealed it's all over. I don't think it's necessarily a problem, but Camus kinda shits itself with its plot, so it would've been better to stay "random". Not like it even was random. But sometimes it's better not knowing.
That said, if you don't like "randomness" or rather not knowing what's going on, horror is not for you. It's really the absolute basics. If you know how and why everything happens, it can't be horror anymore. At least not classic Japanese horror. Sometimes especially western games misunderstand horror as grotesque and gory, but that's just.. sick and maybe disgusting.

It honestly doesn't matter what's allowed and what isn't in reality, depends on where you live anyway. For a story it's too much. They are assholes, who don't give a shit about their daughter's feelings, tearing apart a gift she got from her friends and holds dear to herself, in front of her eyes even, among other things. That is, in no way, okay. Education isn't an excuse to essentially trample on your children's feelings and spit on her metaphorically.

It's just bad writing. The parents need to be the villains, so they essentially kick the dog. If you'd be a good writer, you'd have parents that give a shit, even if they try to educate her to mind her status. Though the entire setting allowing her to attend a regular school is entirely retarded given the circumstances anyway. Again, bad writing. Either the parents TRY to listen to her and as such allow her to do something like that, or they don't.

The game is a good example, where the writer didn't let the story develop, but rather forced everything so their list of checkpoints is cleared. It's just all artificial as fuck. Again, not surprising, given the brand. They try all kinds of random things to see what sticks, and the idea probably didn't come from the writer.
I wanted to like the game. It's not often you have voiced MCs AND several male characters in general. But the writing killed it entirely for me. And it just didn't want to stop being dumb.

Yeah, it sucks because it's not like my urges decrease at all, but my ちんちん just can't keep up. I can keep fapping when I reach that point if I want, but there's just no pleasure at all so it's pointless other than just to "get it out of my system" (the fact that there's so little physical sensation from the act also makes it difficult to even get it up in the first place, let alone keep it that way, so if anything fapping ends up being a chore).

The upside is that after a few days of leaving it alone and letting it recover, the sensitivity comes back way higher than normal, so it's not a total loss.

I wonder if exercising and getting healthier would improve the situation in any case. Maybe worth a shot because it really is frustrating at times.

Not really, it's just that Windows loads DLLs from the exe's directory by default. Sometimes the games request non-default DLL load order and just adding it to the game's directory won't help; for such cases there's a PROTIP about hex editing the exe.
Also, older versions of ogg-winmm (see "forked from bangstk/ogg-winmm" etc.) might not require 2017 MSVC++ redist and therefore work under [VM running] Windows XP.

Although manual DLL injection might work too. For example, the upcoming Hadashi Shoujo game ignores ReShade's d3d9.dll placed in its folder and explicitly loads it from system32/syswow64 instead. In this case it's possible to inject custom d3d9.dll using this thing

and then trigger it by switching to fullscreen or windowed mode.

I wonder why the voice line for "lolicon" is bleeped out when they say on the main menu, they also say it multiple times during the rest of the game and it's never censored.

Finished How I learned to cure paraphilia and love my family / 現実が見えてきたので少女を愛するのを辞めました. Wow, what a work. By far the most insightful and intelligent work I've read in a long, long time.
It talks about the internet exposes us to the malice of all of humanity. How simply being a good person isn't enough to avoid criticism and personal attacks. How science is eroding idealism. How the fundamental ways in which we interact with people are impacting our lives.
There are a lot of observations I've quietly had about life that 現実が見えてきたので少女を愛するのを辞めました brings up and discusses at length. I feel like I understand and have a much better grasp of so things now.
But at the same time, I also feel some degree of despair. 現実が見えてきたので少女を愛するのを辞めました paints a grim look at life, one where we are constantly exposed to the malice of all of humanity and can only survive by building our own "holy grounds" (聖域) with those closest to us.
That's a summary of the game of course, but I can't help but feel that maybe there really is nothing but pain left in our humanity's future. All the hope and gleaming optimistic is dead in the past. We have the internet now and the global connection is breeding infinite pain.
Anyway, to continue this negativity, I should say that while I consider 現実が見えてきたので少女を愛するのを辞めました a phenomenal work, one that seems impossible for a human to have written, it also is by no means flawless. The narrative structure in particular is actually baffling.
"Non-linear" is an understatement, and for much of the game you have barely any idea what's going on. The mysteries in 現実が見えてきたので少女を愛するのを辞めました are brain-busting, and the text is extremely difficult, with tons of highly technical texts that feel ripped straight of a science journal.
I think that 現実が見えてきたので少女を愛するのを辞めました a goldmine of wisdom and value. But like a real goldmine, you have to dig through a lot of rock to get the gold, and it's not always a pleasant process. For me, though, the gold was worth it in the end. 現実が見えてきたので少女を愛するのを辞めました's writer is a god, confirmed.
