2479247 No.2479247 [Reply] [Original]

A malaise has fallen upon me. I seems like all that happened today in terms of Touhou discussions were Chado and porn.

Let's talk about Touhou in an easy manner. Any slice-of-life doujin ideas? Had a particularly relaxing run on the games?

No arguments, no intense or uncontrolled feelings, no physical exertion. Just some good-old Gensokyo relaxation.

ORT could destroy Gensokyo.

The first doujinshi I'll be making when I reach that level is going to be for the Aki Sisters.

It will be slice-of-life. That is all the information I have at themoment, since I didn't plan any further than that.

I wish Touhou had more players instead of "fans" who know crap like Reimu's armpit, etc etc

Touhou has taught me several interesting and useful things.

Shumps only have so much replay value to the average person-- and not everyone enjoys that type of game. I know if a Touhou rpg were made, I would play the shit out of it.

>> No.2479268

OP, do you not realize that forcing yourself to take it easy is contradictory? If it requires effort, even taking it easy isn't really taking it easy.

Minoriko surrounded by eager humans, sitting down in what is practically an altar. All around her are the first fruits of the harvest. She takes a bite, giving a complacent look to the people. They cheer and start celebrating. She looks completely bored, but smirks after seeing the silly human dances. They're going to have a good one this year.
Shizuha looks from afar, sitting on a tree branch away from the scaredy humans. Even though she is so far away, the sounds and smells of celebration reach her. Twirling a dead leaf on her hands, she wonders how long is she going to have to wait for her dear little sister.

Yup. Had to cut down most of that scene, original way that I saw it took around 2 pages. Guess that's why I post it, besides that I like the easy going feeling of autumn.

Cirno looked into the little frozen pool. It glittered coldly in the rising sun's light, her own reflection gazing back up at her. A tomboyish little girl, lips pressed together in a stubborn pout, her flyaway blue hair trailing about her shoulders.

Silently, she mouthed the words, watching her reflection's lips move with her thoughts.

"I am the strongest. I am the strongest. I'm the strongest!"

The last bit came out louder than she'd expected. Cirno looked around quickly, heart beating fast, expecting to hear the dreaded laughter she'd come to expect from those of the forest who heard her claim.

They all laughed at her. Even the humans in the village. Their children would pelt snowballs at her in the winter, leaving her sodden with dirty snow, sniffing back angry tears, her nice blue dress all wet and ruined from their play. When she threatened revenge and told them of her strength, they would only laugh and run away, leaving her to sulk all by herself.

The youkai ignored her completely. Like the other fairies, she was but a pesky fly to them. They could swat her at their leisure. They didn't care that she was the most powerful fairy of her lake, able to summon snow storms and blasts of wintry cold at her will. They only saw her as a winged pest to be squashed.

Except for China. Dear, sweet, lovable China, who fed her sweet dumplings and told her stories from her homeland. Cirno would sit at the older youkai's knee, listening in wonder as China regaled her with tales she'd heard from her mother, who'd heard them from HER mother, and so it went.

They would even play together, running through the forest with their games of hide-and-seek, and pass-the-parcel, or houses.
Sometimes China would pretend to be Remilia in the Mansion, and Cirno would try her hand at being Flandre(with branches and boughs for the wings). They would then duel, as China said they would ? all in play, of course. Sometimes Cirno won, and sometimes China did, but they always made up at the end and went back to the mansion as best of friends.

Cirno smiled to herself, thinking about the door guard. She would start her day off just like China, facing her enemies with the same boldness as the youkai woman. Yes, today she would prove herself the strongest fairy in Gensokyo! Today she would turn over a new page, and work as hard as she could, bringing the morning's frost to the Lake of Fog. Once the travelers saw her efforts, they'd realize that she was truly the strongest of all the ice fairies there.

She rose from the flat, smooth stone she'd been sitting on, smoothing her skirts over her legs. Drawing in a deep breath of clean forest air, she calmed her tingling nerves as best as she could, trying to banish the butterflies fluttering about in her tummy.

One foot went before the other, as she took a step forward, and then another. Each step followed the other, and soon she was walking, then running, running with light feet over the springy, dewy blades of grass. She dodged trees by a hair, ducked under branches at the very last moment, leaping over rocks in her way.
Her crystalline wings beat at the air, and she felt the familiar cold snap in the air as they moved. Colder and colder it grew, until she could see her breath coming in steamy clouds before her.

Her heart soared with joy. Unable to stop herself, she let out a gleeful laugh, leaping into the air, a girl consumed with the pure, heady happiness of being alive on this winter's day, running, skipping through the peaceful forest glade. She could even feel the blades of grass tinkling under her feet. Hope caught at her throat. Had she really done it? Had she managed to bring the blessed frost she had longed for?

By now she was almost airborne. The sky tugged her upward, her wings bearing her easily. Her feet left the ground before she could even react. She was flying!

Unable to resist, she glanced downward. Just one peek, she told herself. Just one look, and I'll know if I did it.

Below, she could see faint white wisps upon the grass, frozen, glassy drops of ice tinkling behind her, trailing at her back. It was so beautiful that she could not look away….

…and she missed the dead, cracked tree stump right in her path. The unfortunate little fairy struck the wood with a hollow thud, crumpling to the ground immediately, never even knowing what it was that ended her flight in such an abrupt fashion. She wouldn't know for a while, having been knocked right out by the blow to the head. Poor Cirno would be left to the mercy of darkness for a while, only to awaken later, as she always did, with an aching head and a lump the size of an egg protruding from her scalp.

Some things never changed.

How about showing them piling up some leaves and coal. Taking their time, they put it all on top of a dozen or so of sweet potatoes. After a while they take them off the fire and wrap them up in Aya's old newspapers.
Grabbing them, they fly off to Hakurei, where Reimu is sweeping the dead leaves off the courtyard. Greeting them, she steps in to get some tea.
They sit around, watching the sun come down, eating the warm potatoes and drinking tea. A cold wind blows, getting them to shiver.

Sorry, I'm falling asleep here. Half baked idea, and I don't know how canon it would be for goddesses to drink tea in Hakurei shrine.

'Take it easy' is taking it easy. As simple as that.
If it costs more than a minimal amount of effort, it isn't worthy.Trolling, Raging, Reporting Lunatic MODO. Nothing is worth the effort.

It's like being a rockstar. If you have to ask, you're not. You just are, or you aren't. It takes no effort.

Taking it easy is kind of like that, except without the drugs and the sluts.
