Wait a minute, where are the Touhou girl's parents? Obviously, I'm talking about the human Touhous like Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, and Alice. I know Marisa's parents live in the human village, but where are Reimu's parents? Did they die, leaving Reimu to fend for herself (which kind of explains why she's a bitch)? I know Alice's parents were killed. What about Sakuya's parents? Still on the moon or something?

The Touhou head ornament functions as the primary reproductive organ. When pollinated, it drops seeds which will sprout into small, helpless Touhou of the same strain as the parent. Pictured are the infant forms of Marisa and Reimu strains.
Fully function limbs develop within a year. Within five, the proportions begin to resemble a human of similar age. Development beyond that varies wildly by subspecies.
