Okay, if I got the battle down right:

Beato calls the Shoulder War Towers behind her, and two more towers far the left and right of Virgilia, who evades the shots from those infront her, but fails to notice the ones beside her and is killed. However, beato keeps it going and virgilia believes she is still alive (not sure how that's supposed to work). So Virgilia calls out some heavenly spear that can piece anything, and beato summons the Giant Corps and gives them the Aegis Shield; the spear returns as the upper-level gods have decided that perfect defense should never meet a perfect offense. However, Virgilia saw through beato's tactic and used some kind of heavenly cavlary hero or someting to run the spear through beato. At this point, beato releases the illusion protecting Virgilia's life and she realizes that she was killed in the first exchange. Battler faints dead away.

Towers were summoned to each sides of Beatrice, which is why Ronove said it was an epaulette mate.

Then , Beato released her towers and created from the scattered magic the giants line, and bestowed them the aegis shield.
Gungnir was deflected due to the "ultimate spear/ultimate shield paradox".

After that, Virgilia dodged that touhou like lightning bolts barrage and used the spear again, but transformed into Mjollnir.
And only after Beato was cornered, she reverted the weapon back to Gungnir and summoned Odin.

Not a charade. Nor was 90% of what happened after beato gave up the powers of the Golden Witch. In specific we know the fight between Virgilia and Beatrice was "real" because it was Virgilia, after beign defeated, suggested the Northwind and Sun strategy. And lamba was seriously pissed off at beato because to her, it looked like beato was honestly trying to lose. Battler just thinks it was all an act, because he's an idiot; only the last scene was a scam.
