having trouble installing a vn where the disc image is in the ccd/img format.

i've tried mounting both the .ccd file and the .img file as virtual drives but the contents of the disc seem to be corrupted no matter which i use.

the .exe files won't run and when you open the .ini files present on the disc the contents are just a garbled mess of nonsense which seems to suggest there's some sort of encoding issue.

my locale and everything is set up fine though so that shouldn't be the case. i've played numerous vns before with no issues.

i checked the original compressed archive the files came in and 7zip says there are no problems with any of the files and reports no errors during extraction. i tried converting the disc image to .iso but that just gave the same problem.

anyone have any ideas?
