Not a lot for her to do. Enemies on lunatic spam status effects which Sanae can heal but I get through without her just fine. Her status heal also has a long cooldown and enemies will just keep using their status effects anyway so healing them doesn't even do much.

Finished all of the Maid events on all difficulties and ended up with around 22k points. Rewards go all the way up to 500k.

If you got some shikigami papers then LB her you get a free one from doing 7 weekly missions. You can break down cards you don't need to give her a quick star boost and give her a small stat boost with the wood and ore stuff.

Just level her to 90, get enough paper doll upgrade to unlock her last word. The awakening for more star isn't necessary (you can get her to 2 star but anything more is a waste).

Youmu can absolutely solo the event at that point.

There's several different ways to upgrade characters. The rocks, the tiles/scrolls, duplicate characters, and the blue tokens you get from scrapping duplicate cards and characters. Dump whatever you've got into your characters with the most damage. Take elements into account as well. Marisa can nuke through most of the game but the enemies that are resistant to her star element can be a pain in the ass. Use your Youmu for the rest

Like everyone else has said the biggest boost comes from paper dolls/dupes.
There should be a part 2 of the event on the 27th that has a paper doll in the shop for 20k according to the altema wiki so I'd probably recommend keeping 20k stocked so you can buy it right away.
Marisa is also top tier for boss killing this event as most of them are weak to her element so make sure to level her alongside your Youmu.

Hard mode Ayayayaya is the fastest mission I can beat with just a single character in the event on auto, since it's only a single boss in that mission without bloated lunatic stats or spellcards. In order to get the 500k points required for all rewards, I would have to do that mission 18131 times right now.

Ye, Marisa is extremely simple to macro with if you have anything that can solo her.
Personally I'm botting at chapter 13 but that require quite some image check thanks to the enemy having a small chance to paralyze you. The reward of 60p is great though.

I haven't been able to get past the first mission of lunatic with what I have. The white fairies make it a lot harder to crutch on Marisa's spell cards, which I've been doing for the most part. I hate those fuckers. I got patchy recently but she hasn't had enough time or resources to become very useful yet, at least not in lunatic. My other character is a Reimu that's at least 20 levels higher and Patchouli is already about on par in terms of raw stats, so she'll be great in no time I'm sure. I guess Reimu is garbage? I have a basic script set up to 1 shot a boss and restart the mission, so I'm able to at least gather a few hundred points when I have energy to burn

I got mine from grinding the first hardmode stage that drops them since the enemy count is like 1/2/2 so it's pretty easy and fairly low level requirements to do 1 unit runs. Didn't take that long desu.

Your waifu is shit event tier list
S Tier (can solo lunatic easily):
Youmu - 2 AOE spell card and 1 AOE last word which can clear 3 waves in 3 turns. She is shit at autoing thanks to single hit focused.
Marisa - 4 AOE spell card with Master Spark clearing most wave easily. Single target last word helps her to solo boss only wave.
Cirno - 2 AOE spell card and 1 AOE last word which can clear 3 waves in 3 turns. Lower damage than Youmu but better in auto thanks to consistent auto.
Having any of above and you will be able to macro through the event easily.

A Tier (special use):
Kasen - Can solo hard Marisa easily thanks to resistance to star element and having good damages.
Patchouli - Good for auto farming as she has decent damage and is resistant to most elements.
Ran - Top tier DPS, AOE auto, single target spell card that's good against 1 wave boss.
The above is mainly used to auto hard mode or solo lunatic Reisen/Marisa. Can be looped easily with really simple macro.

B Tier (good DPS):
Reisen - Decent damage. Single target spellcard made her useless.
Nitori - AOE auto somehow makes her good to auto hard mode even though she is garbage.
Meiling - Decent damage. Okay for auto but single target spellcard made her can't solo lunatic.
Why aren't you using Marisa instead tier.

Shit Tier:
Everything else. Just kys for using them.

That's the issue. I only got about 10k points going from start to the end of hard, and about 1-2k points per day after that. I don't even have the character ticket yet. Each lunatic mission rewards 400+ for first time completion, so that's worth shooting for from where I'm at now

At what point is Lunatic safe to run? I really need the EXP/points but after level 50 it takes forever for a character to level up on Hard.

Also had Cirno, Reisen and Sakuya as the starting lineup just to get the switch in skills at the start but I'm not sure how much that mattered.
It was enough to 3* every stage but there were still a few restarts and very close calls so I would probably say to get everyone to at least 70.

Here's a simple autoclicker that comes with random click position and random delay.

Instruction:
1) Get coordinate of the position to click using Window Spy that came with AHK (Take the window or screen coordinate).
Alternatively, alt+printscreen the emulator and paste into GIMP/Photoshop to find the coordinate.
2) Open Flandreclicker.ini and change MouseX and MouseY to the obtained value.
3) Change Emuname to the name of your emulator's window.
4) Start Flandreclicker.exe or Flandreclicker.ahk if you have AHK installed.
5) Press F7 to start or pause the clicker.
The autoclicking will occur as long as the emulator isn't minimized. You can work on other stuff while autoclicking.

Changing hotkey:
This can only be done with AHK script, edit the script to whatever hotkey you want at the below of the script.

I just realize that Youmu's graze buff increases based on the number of grazes. If you graze three times, you get Lvl 3 buff.

Make sure to do the limited time おつかい. I haven't checked the time of its appearance, but I'm sure one of it is every 22.00 and 24.00 japan time. From my experiences their drop rate is higher than the regular おつかい. You can do the one that gives you rainbow cubes, but the drop rate is still shit, maybe 2-4 rainbow cubes every おつかい and you need 600 of it to roll. Your choice though, if you already have a lot of green cubes, it didn't hurt to farm rainbow cubes slowly.

You better raise your rank too since Lvl.60 おつかい with the same possible loot has a higher drop rate from Lvl.1 おつかい. Again this is my experience though so maybe it's just a placebo. The problem is that you at least need six characters for a full party so you can increase your chance to get cubes. This game really punishes you hard if you didn't have full party at the first time.

I thought 1 Hard quests only gave you 10 coins / mission? But I think that's what you mean by spamming lmao. Not like we have any other choice to gain coins quickly.

I do all of it manually.

I think it's pretty mediocre but being Touhou makes it enjoyable for me,
I think some of the mechanics while simple have the potential to be interesting but the current state of the game pretty much just leaves the characters who can do big damage/easily break whatever you're against as the only viable ones.
The event grind is pretty brutal but I'm hopeful they have something to remedy that in part 2.

6, 7 and 8 are generally agreed to be the best places to start. They're both the easiest games and the beginning of the current canon. Personally I find 7 with Sakuya to be the easiest 1cc run, at least in the windows games. But 8 with border team is a pretty good experience to get into the flow of the series, even if you don't beat the game.

I remember 17 being fully translated in under a week or at least pretty damn close. Did you use a patch?

Rolling is far easier in CB though. You can get many girls quickly and farming only gets really difficult when upgrading to *5 star, but you can go through the story mode and events with just *4 stars just fine. There's less reason to farm anyway when you can get *4-5 star through roll, fairly easy even.
Not to mention CB has less material variety to farm. LW looks complicated in comparison.
