BBSpink is boiling over at that announcement, so let's see if the old dev spirit is still around and they'll backstep accordingly. Their general take is similar to ours ("game's becoming unprofitable because rainbow medals shunt whales into an 'I don't need to go on a rolling spree, I have medals as backup' mindset"), but they don't like it one bit either. Profitability is a legit issue, but it ought to have a solution that doesn't involve backstabbing current players.

Another bummer is seasonal banners, I still don't have New Year's Katie and it's hell to wait for these things to recur. At least I have enough medals to get Silk Tree and Cardamine lyrata (who is either Central Lotus' answer to the iris twins or Yukio Mishima as a flower knight) before the exodus.

Might be why they released the info a month before. Their anniversary stream will probably have something more palatable, or else we might be looking at a pretty steep decline. That ancient Monster Hunter game went from consistent top ranker to service closure in like three months because it got too greedy, and there are enough good games on DMM that jumping ship is easier than ever. This is what would happen when your game lives long enough for the average players to have surplus of extra resources, let alone the whales.
Same thing happened in Kanpani Girls when they gave out too much free rolls, everyone were swimming in silver feathers, and can just exchange them for 5* black envelopes to snipe the newest 5* girls. So the devs "fixed" it by spamming literally hundred of seasonal limited and ex type characters in span of 6 months, which you can't get from silver feather exchange, literally rendered them useless.

Strange thing is there are better ways of doing it. Keep existing rainbows but add a six-month delay for each new rainbow going into exchange, go ahead with the exchange-only rainbow/dressbloom plan so that whales' stockpiles are bled dry. Their current implementation pisses off everyone and might be worse for their bottom line than letting things be.

They're trying to put the genie back in the bottle, and it's not going to work. They'll probably realize it in time though, they've been in this business long enough.

Yeah it's a new kind of rigging called math.
You will, on average, get dupes. Just think about it, if you have a gacha with 10 units in it, there is exactly 1 chance to get all 10 different units and no dupes. Meanwhile, there are multiple chances of getting any other combination which will include dupes. Even if you had 0 of those 10 units to begin with, you'd still probably get at least 1 dupe. Since this is the objective truth, please buy our new ticket.

She's the Risshiden (that's the name of the event type) girl from like 4 or 5 months ago, so she's "hidden" in a sense that you have to explicitly pick her over the current event girl.

Generally, unless you have the monthly bonus SSR at max evo or at least the current event SR bonus girl, you won't be able to upgrade Risshiden girls to SSR. It usually takes about two days to finish one training cycle if you make use of natural stamina regen and daily stamina restore items.
Those point values you listed are for the final rarity upgrade to SSR, but before that you have to get both her ATK and her DEF stat to lvl 13, which requires around 40k points in their respective stat.

So, the rainbow medal fuckery was leading to this. FKG is raising the rainbow rates and adding a pity system, hence why they are neutering the rainbow medal system. It would be nice if it was like the trial runs and only need 55 rolls but it's a guaranteed pick-up rainbow, so they might go more jew for all we know. Be nice if it kept to 6 10-pulls like ES.

Still, pretty shit deal for older rainbows since it doesn't help with how they barely get rate-ups (unless that's something they are going to change too).

This is sounding better now. Even 20x11 rolls for guarantee would beat medals on net rate of rainbows over time, and they can't go that high because the optics to it would be awful. If it's 5-6x, their medal fuckery would be forgiven pretty quick. It would deflate the value of rainbows, which may be bad for the game in the long run, but it also keeps whales rolling for each shiny new thing so maybe not.

There are some worries about regular stone gifts being replaced by more tickets (not something they normally do but NZN has taken over the management now so who knows), and I'm concerned about the "this system will apply with each main banner reset" bit. I sure hope they change the counter to carry over, because any system that forbids impulse rolls is a horrible system and I wouldn't want it if it were to guarantee a rainbow a month.

What that anon is talking about is reaching the ceiling of a banner, for cases where you are getting absolutely fucked by RNG but you're still rolling so they let you pick whoever was on the banner. Most games seem to have it at 300 rolls.

Always do the first roll of a banner since it's 40% off. Don't neglect units because of their rarity (everyone is viable). Watch your team cost since it removes that much AP per battle you use them. Remember do your expeditions, at least the one that gives 100+ AP every four hours, and on that note remember to do your dailies for the AP and items. So far the only limited units have been seasonal variants (summer, Christmas, New Year) so keep that in mind if you want someone from a seasonal banner.

If you ever feel like not really playing much in a day, any AP you earn from expeditions and dailies beyond cap get sent to your box and you can use them later (within some 3+ month amount of time before they expire). You also have a 999 AP cap before that happens. So you can stockpile a ton of AP in overflow and storage. It gives you a lot of leeway on being lazy for events.

Oh, and if you're playing on browser and having download speed issues, you may have better luck with the mobile version.

It's usually easier than that, the idea is storing up currency for a couple months before going on an all-out rolling spree. It's a reliable way to pick up guarantees, but you can't roll on a whim (or rather, you can but it's stupidly inefficient) and have to follow the mandatory edging system. Though now growth crystal/centi gachas can be used for yolo rolls with no loss of efficiency, so it's not too bad for FKG.

Still, something like Aigis' "one guarantee every 33 rolls, resets if you do roll a black" system would be ideal.

Collect the auto finish items and use them in story mode after you finish it once every month so you can buy gold balls from shop.
Best way of leveling is books from event. Just use friend to help in dailies. What I hate most is getting money but they made it easier buying some from events. In options you can skip animation for faster clears also there is option to turn 3* dups to upgrade items. I don't use it for 4 myself not sure if you can but non dups too so it's dangerous. You can stack buffs if you faced strong enemies. Overall it's easy to understand game and with time you will have almost all 3* easily so don't fear only problem with limited seasonal characters.

Depends on how they put the limit if it's like ES, Tokyo Necro, Gemini Seed, it's usually around the 5th 10-pull that gives it. Of course, for the latter two, it's a guaranteed highest rarity unit, not a guaranteed pick-up unit.

Although, I feel like Necro is generous enough that if you skip one or two banners, you have enough to go all the way up to the guaranteed in the 3rd one.

She ramps and becomes either Asherah on steroids or long range single target death missile depending on skill/SAW. Latter lets her keep the attack boosts afterwards. She doesn't get bonus against fliers like archers do, she can't delete the screen after five seconds like the newer meta units, and she likes splattering herself in endgame maps if you don't juggle her timers right because she only has 0-block while on skill, but she's good if you have some CD reduction to keep her ramping. Yeah Usuki or Bicchu-Matsuyama or any of the other ki-on-kill boosters are going to be vital; even if she's low level you can still deploy her in the back and only use her for the token. I don't really use any fist castles aside from Amazaki (and her only due to scarcity of water melee), I find them too lacking in flexibility nor do I have any 7* of them anyway. As for War Gods, I find them kind of annoying even with OP castles mainly due to boss AoE at the end (and then extremes add all the restrictions that limit bruteforcing with OP castles too). The huge supply of starting ki is nice for getting Edo started though unlike some maps where I'm stuck waiting for more even by the time her stratagem is ready.

My Hikone is only LB'd once and Edo/Michel not at all (but all Kai'd) so they only max at 95 and 85 but that's easily enough for all regular content. It's crazy how easy it's become to Kai 7* castles after playing for months; so many events with 5* drops (like this one), once all the 5* I actually use were Kai'd then they all went into 6* Kai fodder. LB'ing anything above 5* on the other hand is what's really brutal if you aren't whaling

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, all my 7* are kai because I haven't been getting many to start with, and step up banners/occasional shop discount means I can LB some 6*/7* too. Most of my 6* focus is on Nagato-Shizuki and Luxembourg, both benefit from scalar attack and slowdown + Ryukyu tarpits a lot of bosses. 7* Rashas go to Kinjou because she's cute and I like her kit.

I see a lot of people use this armor over character specific armor. You trade 1 relic slot for + 15% attack, defense, and magic defense. The healing debuff is pretty minor at high stat values.
I know Uniform Ann-Marie is way more used than her original, but that's partially because there aren't a lot of good Earth type characters.

Pretty much what I have been doing, best part about rerolling is jacking off to the scenes for the UR's I get as I go. I've kinda gone with the account on the right, watched all the outfit episodes, did another 10 roll and got the Kitsune so this is a pretty good start. I'd hold out until the second month, just in case. There's more than 150 SC available to a starting player, but Aigis has a slow start and even regular event maps will be difficult to you for a while, so it might be a bit annoying to actually gather them. Not impossible, and in fact easier this month because of all the gold rushes, but you'll need to race the clock with daily revivals to get there.

I did it by activating the full divine protection right away as I encountered a (relative obviously) hard map I think on day 2 or 3.
If you fuck something up you can buy the 1400 yen pack which gives you 21 crystals or the start dash with 5 for 480 yen. I bought the first when I started but I ended up with more spare crystals so I didn't need it to get to 150.
