>Latest Release (0.503e11):
https://github.com/SHNecro/ShanghaiEXE/releases/tag/0503e1

>What this is:
Shanghai.EXE was a Touhou-themed Megaman Battle Network clone.
Then the original developer got a C&D from Capcom and shut everything down, just before it was completed.
Luckily, someone leaked a donor-wall demo build, and the whole thing was made in C#, which meant it could be decompiled.
This is a version based on the leaked demo, translated, maintained, and now with further content.
The end goal is to finish the rest of the game, which off the top of my head the postgame areas/bosses, some sidequests, and netplay.

>New stuff since last thread:
Implemented secret bosses from Anon's branch, available in the Demo Bonus room.
Completed final dungeon, final dungeon boss, etc. up into epilogue state, with flavor NPCs implemented from the translation document/raw japanese.

>Caveats
Haven't been able to playtest it much, so report any bugs and I'll try to get them sorted within the next few days.
Final dungeon boss only has V1 battle and chip implemented.
Won't be able to respond for half a day or so, only other chance to upload on the anniversary would have been late afternoon.

Merry Christmas and happy cancellation anniversary.

Main game's done, guess I never actually wrote that explicitly.
I'm not 100% satisfied with how some areas are still empty and lifeless, but everything from the translation document is in, so I assume it matches whatever the "real" version had.
I'll revisit those areas once I actually take the next step and start writing new content from scratch.

Maybe a suggestion but you may want to leave it as is and make an extended version, like an extended story and such.
‘Shanghai.EXE +’ or something like that and have two available versions. One for the base “unfinished” game and another for an extension since the original creator can’t continue due to the C&D

Any thoughts on the druidman chip?
All I could go off of was the power and the description, I came up with something I thought fit but that was on the spot right before I put it in two days ago.
Originally the warnings blinked, but I thought it would make it seem like it was 3 random paths rather than the whole area 1 path at a time.

I thought it was a little much for a V1, but I've been cheating my way through the game for debugging and thought my sense of balance was off.
All that came from the description and a few frames of the folder at the end of the druidman video.

Depends on what version you had when it was cancelled, if you had the public 0.430 english version then there was a leak that added 4 chapters and sidequests.
If you had the leak, I've added the bosses and cutscenes from the demo end to the beginning of the postgame, replacing all the incident stuff with epilogue flavor NPCs.

>>22612756
I'm open to suggestions, but I've finally settled on <content vers.>e<revision>_<hotfix> and don't really want to poke around with changing the naming scheme.
I wish there was a concern of name confusion with anybody else working on this, but nobody's bitten yet and I'm too lazy to change things just in case.
I think the "e" should be fine, where 0.502e is the original leak + bugfixes, 0.503e is this one finishing the main story, and 0.504(+)e will be anything that comes after.

This is the best christmas present I could've asked for.

I've been doing a fresh playthrough, and some of the navi's AI appear to be broken. So far I've experienced it with the first two fights with the punks and Carrie here, but they aren't attacking at all (though the fight from the sparring request still works fine). The credits track was playing in the place where you fight kikuri and you had the main theme playing in the credits.

>> No.22620799

>>22620616
Took a bit of a liberty with those choices, but I tried a couple of combinations of BGMs for the final boss+credits and that track never really felt like it worked there.
I have zero background in sound design so I'm butchering these terms, but it felt "low-key" or "passive" for the credits where there's no player interaction to focus on.
Might have biased myself by having to listen to the first few seconds over and over, but something about it feels more like a level theme.
The tone might have matched whatever the original credits were, but those ideas were all I had and it also didn't seem to fit them.

>> No.22621030

>>22620799
>but it felt "low-key" or "passive" for the credits where there's no player interaction to focus on.
That's normal for mmbn and credits in general. People want to relax after finishing the game. I'd argue it is still more fitting than the short loop main theme, which is kind of grating on loop.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9koMxs4jLk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjNtCNQ6uX4

Side note, your credits scenes seemed rushed but I enjoyed the Sprite blocking people in RomComp, hot springs, and the mmbn6 cameo a lot. You did a lot better at this than I would have.

>> No.22621044

>todo: Netplay
Have a plan for that? When I tried to get Koki's netcode working it ended up being such a frustrating experience I found that you'd probably need to rip out all of the old netcode and start fresh, alongside needing to remove all rng calls and replace them with pseudorandom number calls to prevent massive desyncs.

>> No.22621187

>>22621030
>rushed
That's what I get for setting a deadline/procrastinating up to that deadline, but I took my time on the last one and still had to make 16 revisions of bugfixes so it probably would have been the same either way.
You've definitely got a point on the music, listening through the whole thing now and it was just the beginning throwing me off, I think I was trying out the wrong volume fade-ins. I'll redo the ending bgm in the next revision, it's a waste of a track where it is.
Thanks for the feedback, that line in the credits is entirely deserved.

>>22621044
Came to the same conclusion, already stripped out the unused upnp sample code folder from the source, the random networking shit littered across the battle code is up next.
Going to have to iron out the update vs render tick problem first, but other than that the only plan I have is a lot of reading then trial and error.
Far future plans, though.

>> No.22623931

>>22621187
You could potentially try 'remaking' the player code by building off of the normal navi/shanghaiDS code to respond to passed in non-global inputs, and have one for the player and one for the opponent, and use that to implement local multiplayer then implement netplay by having the inputs be relayed like a fighting game. Hell, you could theoretically implement GGPO style rollback and input delay.

Few questions.
1. Can you do a 4th attack of z-saber using another input like in the original mmbn games?

2. When I used ChrgCan 1 (with Timestop), it hit every single row instead of just the one I'm facing. I have no idea how I did that, does anyone know what the input for that was, or if I'm just crazy?

3. Is there a list of all the chips given by the CrimsonNoise addon? Is this the only way to get X chips? (like SpannrMX)

>> No.22630552

>>22630288
I can answer 3, it's literally every chip within 2 rarities of the normal drop iirc, so if a virus would give a 3 star you can get any 1-5 star chip, and a 5 star can give 3-7 (6 I assume to be the X-tier/code virus chips and 7 the navi ones) and is the only way to get the X-tier/code chips.

when or where do I get that. I'm at the beginning of the N1 tourney. I'll probably dive back into the Undernet 2 but I don't have any guarantees that I'll find the sword. It's either that or I'm looking in the wrong place.

If you didn't already know here's a few tips/info.
Playing on difficulty 9 and S ranking anything without the crimson noise addon gives you the illegal data of that virus type. Some viruses like the samurai viruses instead drop O-Saber instead. Some viruses don't have X forms of their chips.
Left + B lets you throw knives and silver knives.
Pressing different buttons when using Yorihime chips makes her slash differently. Input Varsword codes from the BN games like Left B Right B to make her shoot sonicbooms, 3-5 depending on which version chip you're using.
Pressing B 3 times before tankman uses his machine gun makes him focus on one enemy, but reduces the damage of the machine gun to 10.
Cold Air chips hit multiple times on the back row, and if the wind passes over any sand panel it'll pick up sand without using up the panel, unless it hits something on a sand panel.
S ranking SP5 bosses will give you their X version in either their main code or X code.
Chen V3 is in Undernet 3, V2 is in City 3 in the area where you jack in from the phone booth
Scissorman V3 is in undernet 4, V2 is in Undernet 5.
Murasa V3 is in Engelles 3, V2 is in Engelles 2
There are invisible paths in some areas. There's one in Engelles 3 that lets you skip some warp points. One in City 1 that lets you get the PMD, one in the deepest undernet that leads to an addon that lets you hold one more dark chip. One in undernet 1 behind the warp point back that leads to someone selling a dark chip.
DarkAura is in the hospital 2nd floor after the black navi scenario.

PyroMan/Tenshi
After beating PyroMan, you should end up back in your room after the cutscene
*To advance the story, go to bed

Head to the hospital to visit Tenshi. You can jack-in to the TV on the first floor of the hospital
Tenshi should be the first door as you arrive to the second floor

Reisen
After talking with Tenshi, go downstairs, and you will meet two new characters for the first time
After hearing about Reisen from one of them, you can head home and go to sleep
**You can go see the chatboards on both GensoSquare and Jp Undernet to catch up on stuff after the N1 Tournerment
***On the Undernet, you will learn of a new addon and a funny story

Seiran Cruise Ship
Head to Central City and head to the brown terminal on the far right of the Game Center.
*Upon arriving from GensoTown, you can head directly left and up to the blue terminal for an easy shortcut
**If you use this method, the metro leading to the Cruise Ship will be directly to the left.

Seiran Cruise Ship/Reisen
Upon arriving on the ship, you won't have access to the rooms on that floor or the second floor aside from your room (103).
After the cutscene, you can head out but you will be met with a cutscene of running into someone.
You can head to the second floor where you must talk to Reisen and go to all three shops.
After visiting all of them, you can now go see the museum.
*You can jack-in to the TV on the wall in your room (103).
**You can jack-in to one of the ships.
***If you watched or are familiar with Gundam, you can have a little smile with the battle ships.

After chatting with Reisen, you can head back to your room, go to bed and wait for the event to begin
The event is nothing special. You really only go there to fight as the N1 Eastern Champion.
*You can talk to the NPCs to see what they have to say
**You can jack-in on the right table closest to the back wall behind Sanae

Seiran Cruise Ship/Buffet
Go to the first floor and head through the glass doors and go to the middle where you will fight the West Eurica N1 Champion
Shanghai will leave promptly after you beat them.
Dialogue and more Dialogue. You can just leave and approach the eleveator where you will again meet the Western Champion
*BeetleMan (1600HP)
*The battle is relatively easy

That's all for now.

Go on the cruise boat and go to not!britain and go to the hotel and jack-in to the phone on the wall. Go to Area 3's warp point. It will be before the Dark Vendor. Don't battle him. His Ice attacks do like 300 damage.

Aside from that head all the way up and you should arrive there. You can run anti-virus in Undernet 5 and maybe firewall to go around and collect the green boxes since they all give either 2000, 20000, or 20 Zeni.

I think I've made a mistake with that sprite (besides that sprite appearing before the demo end, fixed in e3_1).
That's actually going to be a gate asking for a code you get elsewhere, but that type of gate had a specific sprite image that I didn't have time to put in.
When the postgame starts, that'll just be a quick cutscene and a pointer to the code (or a sequence break, etc.).

I've got a single screenshot in this area to at least give basic design, but any story past what we have I'll have to improvise.
This release is everything we got from the raw japanese in the translation documents, and I had to come up with the cutscenes past DruidMan to fit the text.
I've got a couple of ideas, but haven't fleshed them out yet.

Shanghai and her schemes.
ROM will attack and you must head to the staff only steering room
The jack-in port is at the wheel
*If you select the steering wheel, you will receive a code
**The dungeon is mildly difficulty with slight annoyances

Murasa
Her battle is straightfoward and troublesome. Watch out for her anchors and steering wheel which will turn corners and attack you. be sure to dodge them since they follow you

Wriggelle
After your shenanigans with the cruise liner, you will now be in Engelles
Go to your Hotel and surf the web and go to Engelles Square to learn about the tourist attractions
After going through all you will now have a cutscene where Shanghai and Alice separate
An unknown Gunman approaches Alice and it is up to Shanghai to save her

After saving Alice, the actions are reported but Wriggle is captured and you must now go through not!BigBen, A.K.A the Clocktower to rescue her
The puzzle is tricky but easy to get ahold of. You may want to use firewalls to decrease the likelyhood of inconviences extending the time longer than you might want to stay there.

Save before the upcoming battle.
Once you exit the door, you will not be able to save as it is a cutscene.
You will battle scissorman. His battle is pretty easy. Just keep an eye on your panels and an even closer eye on ScissorMan and if he throws a net. I was low HP so I don't know if it is a One Hit-KO.

After this, you will return home and you must first hand out souvenirs. Go to Remilia, Tsubaki, Rika, Tenshi, and Marisa's houses before going home.
You should be able to go to bed now.

I can't remember what happens next but I believe the Black Navi stuff happens next.
The next day you will be downstairs with Shinki and she will ask that you go order rice.
A Black Navi will intercept and you must take them down.
*Black Navi's do not attack so it is best that you go to an alternate folder that is purely for attack only
**To make things easy, run firewalls (Cheapest at Eien Square) and that should be it. There is one in GensoArea1, GensoArea2 and GensoArea3, Eien Area1, Eien Area 2 and Eien Area 3.
Upon taking down the Black Navi's, switch back to your normal folder with recovery items and proceed into the Undernet.
Undernet2>3>6>8 on the right side>9 on the right side>10 save and head up the walkway to the portal

Defeat the Black Navi's and save. You may be low HP and the likelyhood you you running from the high tier monsters are likely none, so save or jack out then.
*Shanghai's henchmen use combination attacks to close the portal so if you're interested in PA's, you may want to write it down somewhere

You can go to World Undernet and Jp Undernet and see the imageboards for more information.
You should be able to go to sleep then

You will be called to the NA building and that should be it, you can head home and go to bed.
But before that, you will be called to the Undernet by the Navi you saved from Viruses early in the game
You will learn of Boarder Concern.
After this, go to sleep.

You will now storm the building through the port in the telephone booth outside.
Alice and Shinki will be separated again.
Keep an eye on your HP, you won't get help until later.
Until then, Familiarize yourself with the Dice faces.

After taking down the Concern, you can head home and go to bed.

A few days will pass, ROM will declare war
After this, you will be called to the NA building for exposition
After this, go back to GensoTown
After the stuff with Reisen, go ask Remilia some stuff and do as she says.

After that, go to Central City and wander around until you find Wriggle (and screenshot her dialogue for me, I kind of skipped over one block of text lol.)

After that, you can head to the far end past the Game Center and storm the base.

That's all for now.

My (highly uneducated; I'm not a lawyer let alone a Japanese lawyer; don't quote me or make any decision based solely on what I say) intuition is that Capcom's case against Koki is actually very weak, and the C&D was just a scare tactic (many C&Ds are). No trademark of Capcom's seems to be violated -- "Shanghai EXE: Genso Network" shares with "Battle Network Rockman EXE" only the terms "Network" and "EXE", neither of which alone represent any trademark of Capcom. ZUN has far more grounds to litigate should he choose to do so, but, of course, he won't.

I can see a couple of things belonging to Capcom -- the final boss silhouettes that show up for the dark PAs, the image of Zero on a couple of chips, and possibly some other things that I'm missing, but if those are removed or replaced, what's left is only some broad similarities in the premise of the setting and the borrowed game mechanics -- and, at least under American law, game mechanics are specifically exempt from copyright.

Are the terms of the C&D known?

>> No.22644037

>>22644026

In addition to the other images you mentioned several of the sprite effects are ripped from BN as well. Some examples, the !! notification on hitting weakness damage is the same, and the fire effect the Witch style uses is from Fire Man's attacks in BN4.

As for the terms, they're unknown. Given what we know I presume it's image use and Koki just got scared enough to call the whole thing off.

>> No.22644091

I don't think so.
Just search in Warosu any insult to capcom or just look for Shanghai.EXE threads.

AFAIK, nobody knew until it was too late that the game got C&D'd.
I think that if you use even a single image of something that is copyrighted, the entire project is tainted, especially if it is involved in a project that is for profit or behind a paywall as they see it from a standpoint of you making money off of their work, even under fair use.
I don;t know what the letter said but I'm sure they mentioned Tokyo somewhere mainly just going by how whenever Tokyo Court is mentioned, you know things will go bad really fast, even moreso when you are familiar with the conviction rate and the overall cost of battling in court, let alone against a corporate giant like Capcom in a Japanese Court where the corporation will always win. Scare tactics is all it takes. You have to be insane or Yakuza with your hands deep in a politician's or someone influential's pocket to battle them off and continue working on the game. It does not matter what amount of support you get, the corporations always win.

My favorite style was HeatWing because with some Power Addons it was like ~160 damage per chargeshot, double that with grass tiles/navis. It also let me straight up ignore all the tiles on my side, with the Evade button also being really helpful, and honestly I think Wing Style is the best in the beginning.

Right now, my favorite style is AquaDoc with the FullOpen Addon so I get 12 chips in the beginning, and can use 6 chips per battle, and with the whitecard chip it's essentially 7 chips.

For folder building, the beginning I used a combination of D, S, M, T, * chip codes, but as time passed I replaced M with Y because the Yorihime chip is so good, and just got rid of the T code. If you have an Areagrab *, I'd advise you to put it as your Regular chip, so you have it at the start of every round.

Like some other anon said earlier, the S chip code is really fucking good. It has a lot of sword chips, multi hit chips, and navi chips. SpannerMan and Scissorman are honestly really strong, with ScissorManv3 + Areagrab letting you do 290*2 base damage in the corner. I have StormX, Danmagun, and ShotgunX (all S code), combined with Power+30 and Full Synchro lets you easily do 1k+ damage in one sitting, and the best part about these multihit chips are that it doesn't cause navis to go in iframes, letting you stack them (if they don't have superarmor).

Last advice I have for folderbuilding is that you should have some sort of tile change + elemental weakness to that tile change chip. I use GrasRoad + some fire chip. Elemental damage is honestly really strong. Another really good one is IceRoad + Marissa or Iku.

Rambling over.

>> No.22647702

Best style is Aquawitch.
Holdcharge and chipcharge and bubble blaster, cold air, and typhoon chips get +30 damage.
Everything else gets +20 so long as it has an element.
With a good first draw and a little rng you can get sub 3 to sub 5 second kills on SP5 navis like HakutakuMan, Iku, PyroMan, BeetleMan, TortoiseMan, and Chen.
For virus busting ElecNinja is the best. Fill a folder with as many auraswords as you can in B/Z/* code. It slaughters most viruses, and viruses that deal bonus damage against you are easy to dodge or are a non issue since the aura sword sonicboom will reflect all of their projectiles. Makes walking through difficulty 9 internet a cakewalk.
ElecNinja because on difficulty 9 most enemies are Fire, Aqua, or Poison type and Wood/Ground viruses are either easy to dodge/reflect or are non-existant.

You will face autonomous Navi's. Do not face them recklessly because they are absolutely suicidal.
They will poison the entire field so you may want to use Leaf!Shanghai since she is unaffected by field changes.

Duplicate of the one on the chip shop board, should be 16482231.
Fixed in repo and will be part of next release, which will probably be the DruidMan V2/3, SP, etc. fights.
He already hits pretty hard, so I'm thinking minimal power scaling (+20/v?) and just adding HP, speed, and status/tile effects.
V2 onward will also add the 4th attack pattern, which will just be a darkchip.
I'm also thinking about giving the areagrab after the slash attack only a chance of happening, it feels like reducing mobility that much will make a lot of the attacks completely unavoidable and will just completely fuck you. It can be disrupted, but it should be a lot rarer than it is currently.

For chips, I'm thinking a similar +10/v but with extra effects.
V2 adds a shockwave (non-healing) on the player's row.
V3 adds a poison status effect.
X goes back to basic V1, but lets you choose element (as markers are added?) by command code.

Gaia is not a bad style since it has superarmor, but in my opinion it's the worst style, followed by doctor.
Witch => Fighter > Ninja > Doctor > Gaia.
Wing is more of a support style that is needed when things get really out of hand.
The best element(s) for the styles in my opinion are
Witch: Earth, Aqua. The best multi-hit chips are these elements. Witch is also immune to debuffs and takes less damage from elemental weaknesses.
Fighter: Earth. Just for sandstage. Grounding enemies on sand makes it much easier to shoot them to death with the blitzbuster.
Wing: Anything that isn't weak to Elec or Heat.
Ninja: Elec. Just for viruses. Any element other than poison works fine. Ninja also moves faster on panels than any other style, so it's much easier to dodge annoying attacks from enemies that jump in front of you.
Doctor: any element other than Elec, Poison or Earth. Doctor's charge attack is very good for doing high damage combos since you won't need to waste a slot in your folder for chips like MeltWax, BubbleBath or BlindLeaf. Meltwax makes enemies weak to water, bubblebath makes them weak to elec, and blindleaf makes enemies weak to fire. The other three elements don't make them take additional damage from other elements.
Gaia: doesn't matter. You're using Gaia. Tank everything with your face, you have superarmor.

All the bosses have 3000+ HP. Any PA that isn't BigTyphoon or EternalCut aren't really good. For regular difficulty Doctor style is on par with Witch style. Unless you're charging up the awfully slow Doctor style charge shot and using a folder full of railguns and icestage/road to hit 1200-2000 damage per railgun fighter and witch far outdamage doctor. Bad luck I guess. I got so many copies of Sandstage S when I was grinding for the Youmu PA that I tried throwing them into a chip trader to get the Roukanken R. You can get sandstage D from a vendor, but you probably want S code because it's the busted one.

Upon arriving to the base, you will face Murasa. You will again be faced with a little puzzle.
Depending on which element you choose, you may be able to pass through certain blocks. I.E. you pick poison and you can walk through leaf and water but you are unable to walk through heat and electric.

ROM Base/Old Faces
After getting to the final fire block, save. You may need more than one go at Murasa if you found her annoying since she has 1900HP this time around.
Watch out for her steering wheels, some are duds, some turn corners to hit you. If you need it, you can get a virus that does AoE and combine that with area grabs to get guaranteed hits since Murasa is a nimble girl that throws anchors at you. One more thing to note about the battle is that Murasa will bring down an Anchor herself and will do that area with one block up in 4 directions making a cross. Look for corners or open areas to avoid it.
*Note... Murasa is on the heavy side... Henchie said it, not me.

It is best you save now and head inside.
*Upon heading inside you will be given an AddOn, UnderShirt. It will allow you to survive fatal attacks.

The puzzle games continue but as you make your way up, you will again face Pyroman at 1800HP.
Mokou's story arc comes to an end, maybe for good this time.
After beating her, continue on with the dungeon.
Follow the switches and head left, you will find the correct path going down and right until you find another spot similar to the one you fought PyroMan on.
Save and continue. You will be fighting ScissorMan again at a whopping 2100HP
Same as last time. Be wary of his net, but since you got the AddOn, you should be able to survive the attack now, with 1HP. That's if you equiped the AddOn of course.
After defeating him, you should be able to carry on, so save and proceed to the next area.
*You can interact with the logo.
**Jacking-in would surve little purpose beyond grinding. There is also encrypted data, a minus addon, noguard which gets rid of your invincibility frames on damage and barriers.

ROM Comp 3
Just proceed as normal, but when you get to the roundabout of elements, stop at Earth and head upwards. You will find another pad above where you will find another one of the Mystery Data in the dungeon. Head to the fire panel, save and proceed.
Next up, you fight a beefed HyperAura Chen at 2200HP. Do your best!
Chen starts off with 2200HP accompanied by two Oni looking things. Fuck Chen. Fuck everything she stands for. Fuck those elemental faces.

That's all for now.

D/T or B/T
T code has bubbleblaster 3, cold air 3, typhoon, giantwave, tortoiseman V3/X
D code has bubbleblaster 2, Hotstorm, sandstorm, darkdesert, fastgauge, bluelily, and I think hazard(poison storm) as well.
B code has bubbleblaster 2/X, BigTyphoon PA (Tailwind * + Headwind * + Cold Air 2 B), giantwave and I think Hotstorm as well.
You could also do B/S which has access to bubbleblaster 3, sandstorm, storm, storm x, typhoon, sandstage, spannerman and danmagun, but then your giantwave code won't match your storm chips, no tortoiseman V2-X, no fastgauge, no bluelily, no darkdesert or hotstorm.
D/T code with fastgauge set as regular is good for the boss gauntlet, B/T code with giantwave set as regular is good for bullying bosses.
Giantwave is very important as it leaves behind sand panels, and sand turns any storm chip into an Earth element. A Typhoon/ColdAir will get +20(+30 with chipcharge and holdcharge) damage from being the same type as you, but with sand you can double that against elec enemies. Sandstorm would only get +10(+20) since you aren't the same type.
If you set giantwave as your regular and you get ColdAir3 and attack +30 and any screen dimming chip you can get sub 3 second kills ok Iku SP5.

Aquawitch is the best style because aqua has the most multi hit chips.
There's no earth or fire blaster. There are very few poison chips, every element other than wood has i-frames on their chips. Wood chips are either slow or have low multi hits like tomahawks. Tomahawks/megahawk/gigahawk are still good though. They hit like trucks, but it's much better to just put them in your folder without using leafwitch.
I'm certain mega/gigahawk comes in D code, but they might also come in T code, which would let them match codes with tomahawk X.

Really didn't think it was that big a deal, the cutoff point we had a year ago was right up against DruidMan anyways, 80% of the work up to now was just setting up the editor/engine.
Might just have an odd perspective from looking for all the stuff we don't have, though.

>>22648505
Speaking of DruidMan, I've got the V2/V3/SP/+ versions implemented but I have no idea on balance, especially since I've replayed the attack patterns over and over while putting them in.
The strategy that these versions ended up with was that you have to go 100% offensive and disrupt attacks rather than dodge, which is still possible but a pain in the ass.
I'm not sure if this is too much though, since I usually run a glass cannon and I'm afraid it might be overspecialized and be too much for other folder types.
Damage I'm not sure on either, I'm used to getting 1HKO but the dev video with 200 damage hits still seems too high a baseline.
SP currently does 250 (200 for burst) but also does elemental damage so it could double/quadruple if you're unlucky.
Video will be slightly out-of-date, I'm changing the waves to only have a chance of targeting your element, 500 is a bit high.
IIRC fully upgrading HPMemory gets you around 1000, but a 4/5 hit kill seems a bit unforgiving.

>>22663531
I can probably do some quick mspaint work over a map editor screenshot if nobody else gets to it, maybe as cooldown project before getting into planning the postgame.

>>22663602
I've ended up just picking up roles since I finished the translation and map editor.
Other anons have pitched in with stuff like the secret bosses and other resources which have been very valuable but overall I've been maintaining the repository so I have easier access to add things.

I checked out the japanese side of things a couple of times through google translate after seeing japanese in the traffic stats for the repo, but it looks like they're more occupied with shitting on koki's new game.
There was one mention of someone on twitter finding the repo, but those tweets got deleted so either someone's still concerned with "pirating" or Capcom's cracking down harder there.
Concerningly, I've also got a couple of hits from "cs-rdmn01.pit-crew.jp/cap_Az9fvR/issues/5817" which could possibly be some unwanted attention on an AWS-hosted issue tracker.
Let's hope I remembered my network security classes correctly and scrubbed enough of my info to make it more costly to pursue it than leave it be.

Compare it to other SP Navis, specifically Youmu as she was intended to be post game. The speed specifically in your webm seems a tad high (rule of thumb is that you should generally be able to dodge an attack pattern without pause buffering, but all SP5s flirt past that line or straight up go over it). I can't really speak too much though, Flandre and Yuyuko need some balancing from where I left them (and Flan was/is missing an attack).
Do you have a plan for them and the (unfinished) dark chips I gave you? Yuyu can utilize the white heaven maps and feel like the MMBN3 Secret Area, but I'm not as sure on the others. And I don't even remember if it was revealed where Mima would show up.

Was Missileman ever planned to actually be in the game? Since he's not in the game, and some of the stuff that's been passed around was stuff drawn by the artists for fun, not necessarily for Shanghai.exe.

Like this one. While it is one of the games artists and it's obvious with Ran's design, he does straight up say that it was inspired by, but not related to Shanghai.exe.

Hecatia is actually one of the last ones we do have a good amount of reference material for (the other being CirnoBX), the anon that added the Mima, Yuyuko, and ShanghaiDS fights did a lot of research and gathered stuff from the artist's twitter.
The problems are going to be MissileMan, the Cybeast, and the ones from >>22662881 where all we have is the chip art or a single screenshot.

Storywise all we have is a single recording from the end of the the Flandre mission, everything else will have to be written from scratch.

Like, looking up the characters from the 3rd set of navi's you can find detailed shots of Mystia and her navi Yatsuhashi.exe and Myouren and his navi Fenrir.exe. Both by KURUTSUKI who I thought was one of the character designers for the game.

Between all the stuff going on in the picture and a description like "公式の依頼ですので、いつかゲームにも登場します!" it sure sounds like it was drawn and planned to be in the game (the designs at least completely match the sprite work)
