Komachi Onozuka is simply disregarded despite being one of the most interesting characters in mentality and spirituality.
Death herself has so many intriguing things to say. She's one of the few people with a vastly higher vantage point than mortals, yet still walks among mortals and talks with them.
Her scenario in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, where she correctly identifies everyone's weather and accordingly says where their likely afterlife will be, is easily the most thought-provoking part of basically any Touhou game. I would hear her talk about every single character if I could.

But then ZUN decided he didn't like shinigami so this series is about oni now and the fanbase's perspective is just "lmao boobies". I fucking hate Wild and Horned Hermit and its useless retcons.
