Mmm, I wouldn't call them smooth jazz, I don't think. Smooth jazz should have a breathy (but smooth, not like noir breathy) saxophone as the focus. I'm not sure if they really fit into any sub-genre; I'm not aware of any "real" jazz that has the same straightforward but low energy style. Then again I've never really been able to keep track of jazz subgenres very well.

I've been thinking the exact same thing. I can't stop listening to Akatsuki Records' take on it. The melody is extremely catchy and the rhythm is great. I'd even go as far as to call it one of ZUN's finest works.

I'm looking for Shindehai's Celtic Touhou album but all links to it are dead. The authors website is dead and has been dead for a while, he took down all of his channel's youtube videos of the songs, all google/duckduckgo links lead to the dead ends, there are no working wayback machine links, and the only remaining videos is an extended version of one of the songs.

Does anyone have the Celtic Touhou album? Or is it now lost to time, collecting dust in some forgotten hard drives?
