Why do you fags like Sakuya so much? She has a bitchy personality, gray hair (who the fuck finds hair the color of their grandma's attractive?), dull clothes, and no redeeming qualities whatsoever. The most boring of all the SDM residents.

Beyond Reimu and Marisa, each character should get one shot as playable, then make way for someone else's time in the limelight. Sakuya's been in almost as many games as Aya, it's past her time to receive a gold watch.

She cut right to the point once the shrine maiden settled down.

"Why did I call you? Well, it's simple, really... I need to go in your place. It will bring much needed faith to the shrine."

Sakuya coughed, tasting a bit of the tea come back up. "And why would I leave the safety of my lady in your hands?"

"There are several reasons. One, my going will accomplish both our goals. Two, I've got the power of gods to back me up, and you... don't. And three... I poisoned your drink."

Sakuya froze for a moment then coughed again, a burning sensation spreading through her body. She reached for her daggers, but it was already too late. Her body went limp and she crumpled to the floor. Sanae quickly gathered up Sakuya's limp body and shoved it in a closet, muttering quietly to herself.

"I'm sorry, but I had to do it- I had no choice! The shrine needs faith, and I have to get attention to get faith. If you were there, I wouldn't get as much... So I had to do it. It's what any proper shrine maiden would have done! That's right, it's okay.... because... I'm a good girl."

Remi is the only one of the EoSD cast I particularly like; I'm utterly apathetic towards Sakuya and China, I hate Cirno, I fap to Rumia and Flan but otherwise don't care much about them. Patchy is ok but not one of my top characters.

I also hate Eientei, except for Tewi's ass. The IN characters outside of Eientei are some of my favorites though.

Moriya Shrine is pretty meh

and to the sanae vs sakuya ppl, there is always the possibility of sakuya being UNLOCKABLE. its unlikely, i dont think unlockable characters have been used in any game other than IaMP and SWR, so its improbable.

ZUN should just do a Touhou Daifukkatsu. Or, for the uninitiated, Cloying Nostalgia edition.

9 effective playable characters (though all similar enough for the game to work), all bosses (except 2 in DFK but we’ll ignore that) from previous games, unlockable hidden bosses from the series magnum opus (Perfect Cherry Blossom) with subtle musical references throughout, over the top reintroduction of the best scoring system (Mountain of Faith), and whatever else. Basically a big hand that reaches into the pants of all the fans and tugs desperately.

We would all love it and it would be easier to make. There will still be massive outcry if your favourite touhou here didn't make it, but he can easily reduce the risk here by just going for what's popular and using trump cards like Mima.

But while the MoF, SA, UFO engine is better than the PCB one. SA is not a fan favourite and I, personally, can’t stand any of it. Characters all have stupid gimmicky shots, stages are boring as well, scoring system relies on you having the most horribly broken bomb to spam, none of the patterns stand out, far too many are from Cave games, and if the final boss wasn’t so awesome I would be fuming at the very notion SA is the best.

I just tried out SanaeB on Hard mode. Definitely more powerful than SaneaA and ReimuB. The splash damage rapes the stage 2 "Parasol Star Memories" card, which I'd previously had a lot of trouble with, and the bomb destroys most spellcards. The splash damage is great for filling UFOs too.
