Why couldn't Aoko have made Shiki a pair of contact lenses? He looks so much less of a fag without glasses.
And the confidence of Nanaya

>> No.2211195

Aoko didn't make the Mystic Eye Killers, she just jacked them from her sister.

>> No.2211202

>>2211195
The dirty red should've made contacts then.

Because people look much better with glasses.
Picture related. Senpai isn't senpai without her glasses.

>> No.2211215

>>2211204
Not Shiki, as the OP pic proves quite conclusively.

>> No.2211216

>>2211202
It's much easier to keep track and take care of glasses, especially for long-term use.
Practicality over meaningless posture.

Looks like a chinese with the slanted eyes if you ask me.

>> No.2211230

Yeah, imagine losing one these.
OH SHI I LOST THE ONLY ARTIFACT THAT WILL KEEP MY BRAIN FROM EXPLODING
WHAT AN HAPPY DAY

>> No.2211235

>>2211230

Is this how Shiki feels when he wakes up and forgot where he left his glasses?

>> No.2211259

>>2211235

I assume he tends to make a good note about where he leaves them. On account of, y'know, not wanting his brain to explode.

I mean, I have never lost my glasses nor forgotten where I've left them, and I don't particularly need them to keep from dying. I can only assume Shiki pays more attention to them than I do.

Still, yeah. If he lost them, he'd probably go spare.

>> No.2211263

>>2211259

I've never actually lost my glasses, but sometimes I wake up and forget where I left them for the night,
Usually one of 3 places, so I never get worked up about them.

>> No.2211278

>>2211263

Yeah, I also have only a couple spots where i leave them. That's what I mean. They're never far.

Anyway, back to the OP's question, no. I don't mind glasses (in fact, I'm playing Persona 4 right now and I happen to think most of the mains look wonderfully better with the glasses on).

>> No.2211761

>>2211278
OP here. Glasses are fine, like Shiki himself said "Senpai isn't senpai without her glasses!" but Shiki just looks so much better without them. I think it's that his are so BIG in all the official art that bothers me. They just look silly.

Yeah, if there's one good thing about the anime, it's that they modernized his glasses and he looks much less retarded.

I'm the only person I know that wears contact lenses, it's weird. I only wear my glasses outside when I'm feeling really lazy.

>> No.2211773

Because with contact lenses he'd get killed way before he can take them out.

I liked his big goofy glasses because they reminded me of this fellow here.

Yeah, I prefer how that fan chose to depict him with his glasses, though Ciel could use some work there.

They do look a bit silly, but they arent as retarded as they look. Most of the time the official art just gets lazy with the design of the glasses and skips the little details that would not make them seem quite as ridiculous or embarassing to wear.

>> No.2211831

Because no one wants to see Shiki taking his contact lenses off FABULOUSLY.

Because it is. Arc is the main reason to play Near Side, after all.

>Arc is the main reason to play Near Side

The only reason to go through Near Side is to be able to play Far Side.

I dunno, I liked Arc far more than Hisui and Kohaku. Akiha still reigns Queen, though.

I just started playing Tsukihime, what is this near side/far side thing all about? Just different routes?

>> No.2211899

Because you can take glasses off and put them in your pocket without them drying and raping the shit out of your eyes when you put them back in.

Also, losing them would be a bitch.

There five routes.

2 pf them )including the first you can play) are the near side, the other 3 FAR side.

The difference is the storyline focus.

I have to disagree; the big, old-school glasses fit Ciel really well. Dunno why, I think I'm just used to them on her that way.
