Pretty much any Round1 location has a local scene with meetups unless there are multiple locations within close proximity.
It's easier to just not get involved with the scene at all. I'm familiar with some people in the area and run into them at arcades or events, but I wouldn't consider them friends. I can talk to them and be friendly, but I can also easily distance myself from the drama and bullshit that comes with any sort of community. I play music games to distract myself from problems, not throw myself straight into them.

Third party drums are terrible and low quality and will either barely or not work at all out of the box. You’re better off saving up an extra 20 bucks and going for HORI, the official manufacturer. If the drum is still generally unresponsive (can happen), you can mod it relatively easily to improve sensibility

Need a drummer to explain something to me.
For GOGOMANIAC on extreme, how on earth do you hit phrase A? The snare-hightom-floortom/yellow-green-orange bit. Am I suppose to hit the snare and hightom with my left hand or is my right hand supposed to jump between the floortom and the hightom?

Sorry if my question is confusing. I know there isn't a "right way to play" per se but both options are equally awkward for me so I'm perplexed as to how I am are supposed to be in the hitting.

springs, well not really. ISTMALL is still probably the best for that. $3.50 for a 50g switch is straight up not good though. And you only have to buy springs once, whereas if you're a gorilla you gotta buy switches roughly once a year.

I havent tried on EXT, but on master how do I it is my left hand is stationary on the high-tom while my right hand takes care of the snare and floor. You might need to adjust your left hand so that it doesn't get in the way.
That's how I do it though, try experimenting with others to see which you're most comfortable with.

Check whether your tv adds audio delay (use ps4 optical out), the image delay can be compensated in the settings.
