Play SA on easy mode then. Just because the board is full of jerks who insist you can't play on anything below Normal doesn't mean you should punish yourself to trying to defeat SA on Normal with a wall like Rin.

If you can't complete SA on easy mode... oh LOL.

The SA live system makes the game quite easy.
If you hate Orin, just bomb every of her spellcards (except the easy ones, so just Cat's Walk, Atonement "Needle..." and "Rekindling of Dead Ashes" and the last non-spellcard)
Gain 2 lifes in the process, die once because of fuck ups and gain 2.XX power. Beat Utsuho with 8+ lifes left.

Then just bomb them to death too. Can't be that hard to press X and just clear the easy spellcards. They give more than enough Power needed to bomb again.
And IF you die a few times within the first 3 stages, restart. You will have 6 1/5 lives at the beginning of stage 4.

I normally play Reimu A most of the time. The bomb may be "weak" but it lasts long enough to reduce the enemy's health enough to beat her before the next wave hits you. (that may not work with only 1 bomb against Cat's Walk if you don't hit her enough)

Alice is pretty good for point-blank bombing. You bomb stay directly in front of the enemy. Same works for Patchouli and Wood Sign with 3 options (all hit).

I can't remember how good Aya's bomb is, but Suika's is too weak in the lower difficulties (not enough bullets to convert.
You can forget Nitori.
