There's a clear difference between unconditional approval and recognizing how someone writes their resolutions to any form of conflict. The people who were upset about how the status quo remained with Kosuzu and are now unhappy that the same thing is happening to Kasen have missed the entire point of why he writes these series. Nope. I didn't like the ending of FS because the entire comic promised that leaping into the world of youkai would have terrible consequences for a human villager. As for WaHH it has always been about Kasen trying to hide her past and change herself. It seems in the end she has accepted her past and still is determined to change, which follows with the entire series. The ending of FS was crap because Kosuzu did not suffer at all, she was rewarded for not listening to warnings, and that's lame. Least she could've done was earn some permanent scar.

She went from being an unrepentant asshole to someone who only thieves if she's pretty sure it won't lead to financial ruin. She also generally is less interested in wealth, which Doremy knows. It's Shion who has no scruples with ruining others lives and wishing for extravagance (which was the whole subversion with the two of them).

The thing is, Joon is what she is and that alone probably compels her to try and bring ruin to others' lives, but she'd rather live like an ascetic if she could. On the other hand Shion brings ruin to herself and others whether she wants to or not, but she does indeed want to. Joon's consciously bad, but subconsciously good. Shion's subconsciously bad AND consciously bad. It could be argued that because Shion's powers are so fucked up, it's only natural that her personality would be twisted as well.

Komachi is simply concerned with anyone who wants to be immortal, though not those who are already immortal. Escaping the samsara is fucked up and she doesn't like it.

She can't stop the actual hermits or the celestials, but she can at least possibly prevent Kasen from going down that path. And, despite how stupidly lazy she is, Komachi is indeed deeply concerned with all living things.

The only one who talks about the threat of shinigami casually is Miko, who isn't yet actually on their radar. The reason hell tries to kill either is indeed because they have lived too long. That said, there's an additional "reason" to Celestials in that in order to be allowed to live longer they must fight for it. There's nothing suggesting it has to do with virtue, it's only about living too long. In fact, Komachi talks about how their lifespans are being unnaturally extended, which is why they need to die.

This also explains why they don't go after Lunarians. Lunarians can die natural deaths, it just takes a completely absurd amount of time.

If she cared about that she would chastise Marisa not for wanting to be a Celestial, but for wanting to be any kind of immortal (like a Magician). Since Miko doesn't mention removing them, Tenshi mentions that hermits remove them, celestials and hermits both still have a lifespan that hell is aware of (according to Miko, the worms report your lifespan and that's how you eventually die, or something like that), and the only reference to removing any sort of bug or worm is magicians' immortality magic, I'm inclined to think it's only magicians that definitely completely get rid of them.
