So, what's the appeal to yukkuris? I don't get what people see on those things. I for one, find them somewhat creepy and disgusting.
I don't have any yukkuri image, so have some Flan.

You're comparing the US Government to Yukkuri? That's a comparison only a person hateful of Yukkuris would do. Yukkuris make us realize how human we all are. Yukkuris let us ruminate on the philosophy behind what it means to be human. How can you reject something so basic and intrinsic?
