How do you characterize the appearances of various 2hos in your mind, jaybee? Are they all boobhus, are they all lolis, are they all teens, are they all hags, are they a mix of some or all of the above, or none of the above? Not in terms of "when I feel like fapping, they look like x", but in general, all-consuming terms.

patchy: chubby girl, same age bracket as reimu and marisa ( late teens or early 20s )

marisa & reimu: short and tall respectively ; marisa is lean and mean, reimu's got an elegant hourglass figure

sakuya: woman, maybe 23? or a bit older. curvy bombshell

yukari: see sakuya. she's got the atmosphere of a seasoned older woman, but still retains a relatively youthful appearance

i'd like to mention i always think of marisa as being sorta homely. not ugly perse, but just not as drop dead gorgeous as everyone else in gensokyo. maybe her limbs are of an awkward length and she's got too many freckles. ratty hair is also a thing.

Out of a cast of hundreds, I can see the following characters as boobhus:
>Byakuren (maturity; physical presence; used magic to make herself young and beautiful)

I can agree with this except Komachi and Utsuho.
Komachi because it's actually her belt pressing against her kimono that makes it a bit inflated. Personally I picture her with small-medium breast because I imagine her as lazy lanky-type that doesn't think much about nutrients and appearance.
Utsuho because her third-eye covers more than half of her chest in all of her game appearance. Since I assume her third-eye is implanted on her body I don't think there is any room for breasts. All that left is medium sideboobs, but no nipples or cleavage. Also she is another lanky-type, except she is a stupid one.

Most of them look like your run of the mill twentysomething nip girls (meaning 14 year old boy bodies), but with wacky hair color and the like. Some of the "leaders" have bombshell bodies (like Kanako.

I like to imagine Nemuno to be a bit wrinkled like in her 50s yet also slightly muscular. She is a mountain hag after all.
Also, I think not all 2hus should be 10/10 cute idols or sexy top models. Among alot of them there's got to be some that are rather average/plain or simply pretty at best, though I won't depict any of them as uggos with deformities either. After all, the only characters that are canonically described as otherworldly beautiful are Yuyuko and Kaguya.
Characters that I imagine them to be average for example are Reimu, Marisa, Youmu, Komachi, Utsuho, etc.

Yuyuko is the single most misrepresented character in the entire series.
People simply do not /get/ her.
The nature of her soul manipulating ability or why it gave her such power during the scarlet weather incident.
Her youth, her agility, her wit.
Her incredible trickiness.
This is all disregarded for gluttony memes and simple characterizations.
It has taken really dedicated fans like KamS and Karaagetarou to get her right.

Well you may be pushing it there.

A large and important part of Yuyuko's character is "simply not caring" or "caring, but not acting like it". Food comes up a lot because she's often talking about food. Holding conversation with her is difficult because she frequently changes the subject, she feigns ditziness very often, and she's awful childish/selfish plain and simple.

I'd actually say that Yuyuko is OFTEN portrayed fairly correctly outside of canon. Even if they don't necessarily understand her, Yuyuko is outwardly a goofball who secretly knows exactly what is going on at all times, and that isn't hard to get right. Also she's into food.

The single most misrepresented characterS in Touhou are Marisa and Shiki Eiki. Marisa is portrayed as a ladykiller lesbian for... some reason. Eiki is portrayed as a tiny and high strung brat who nags everyone. Eiki is so fucking misrepresented it pisses me off. It's a good thing ZUN's never taken a bit of her fanon into her later appearances in the series, because holy shit, the fanbase too often reduces her to a joke despite her being a completely well-meaning, intimidating, and yet extremely pleasant sort of person. The only reason the residents of Gensokyo are aggravated by her is that she tells them the truth, and wants what's best for them. In fanon, she's a short breast-envious cunt. She's even tall in canon. THAT'S bs. The only thing often misrepresented for Yuyuko is how old she should look, and even in canon she doesn't often look teenaged.

I agree that Yuyuko has an easy characterization to get plausibly correct, in that her outward affect is ditzy 80% of the time.
Fans really cling to the food thing, which is a result of her IN metaphors and that sake collection storyline in IaMP.
They slip up on the last part, which is that she's a poet hanging around in a graveyard of dead samurai poets and she has the intuition to solve incidents before Yukari or Suika can. Let alone slower protagonists like Reimu.

Marisa has brash dialogue and canon relationships with at least one girl per game. It's easy to place her at the center of a harem even if her canon persona is a midget intimidated by Rinnosuke.
One of my favorite bits from Symposium of Post-Mysticism that people forget is that she struck up a friendship with Yuugi and goes to visit.
That's the same conversation where they point out a method which could kill even Yukari via ego death.

I agree that Eiki is badly characterized and gets it way worse physically than Yuyuko. Her height is up there with Orin's tails (or what should be a lack of) and Mo-meme-ji's animal features she's not supposed to have. The fans just don't care, they want tiny angry Eiki.
What they don't understand about her preaching is that it's sourced from a single desire: to never be forced into damning a person to hell.
If they just kept that in mind, we'd see loving Eiki as a more common depiction.

The way I see it
Tall - Taller than average Gensokians
Fairly Tall - Average Gensokian height
Fairly Short - Smaller than the average height
Short: Fucking tiny

Lets say the average is around 5"5, I don't know the height in Metric so I'll clock it at around 150cm
For fairly tall, I'd say they end up at or around the 150 mark or 5"5.

The "Tall" characters are upwards of 4 inches taller into the 5"9 max range or an extra 20-25cm.
The Fairly Small 'hus follow the inverse of "Tall" with a loss of 20-25cm while the "Short" class of 'hus are all around 5"3 and under into the lower 5s and high 4s range which would make them fucking tiny in comparison to everyone else.

Varies, teens to adults, breasts vary as well. As the 2nd poster said, I would just add all of the Old Maids/Hags alliance as large or medium to large. Likely age, apperance wise runs from upper 20's to more refined 30's. I would in terms of size throw Okuu into this on the breasts.

Most of the rest, like Nue or most inhabitants have small to medium breasts and look young. Junko and Hecta I have to include in the old timers club.

Sakuya I would say actually has medium sized breasts and looks young, Meiling, Large, 20's.

One area I might differ on, is Eiki I picture being of average height, small-medium breasts, and in her 20's, likely upper.

Height is where it gets interesting, I would say lots of variation there, with the top fight tallest in order being Yuugi, Okuu, Kanako, Eirin and..maybe Junko or Ran.

Shortest would be in order of shortest to tallest, Marisa, Cirno, Rumia, Remilia and Flandre... Well there is the Cuphat samurai, but she doesn't count, easily she is the shortest if included.

Maybe I'll attempt a more detailed listed later with my fav 30.

He's talking about anime age. Anime girls start developing sometime around 12-14 when they finally lose the "bloated" looking tummy they gained as toddlers, and as they grow older, they get taller and increase in bust size. An 18 year old is taller and bustier than her 16 year old self, a 20 year old is taller and bustier than her 18 year old self, a 25 year old is bustier and taller than even her 20 year old self, up until around 30 where they are about 8 heads in proportion and have breasts each the size of their torso. Flat adults don't exist unless they never started developing at all.

16 year olds generally have a fresh, youthful face and complexion. A 25 year old is already starting to show the early signs of aging, and has a visibly more mature aura.

Mostly in the late teens to early twenties age range. Very few "boobhus." It's hard to make many generalizations past that, given the size and diversity of the cast.
