Uploading the savestate right now. Unfortunately I made the mistake of playing with PGVM, so I can't test the game using the latest SVN681 (Can't load pgvm save states in vtlb version). Can't save the data normally either as it just corrupts the memory card.

This is one of the few games where the "side" character ending seemed like it was a lot better wrapped up than the normal ones. I don't have it in me to replay the whole game right away for Luca's path, so I can't speak for that one, I guess.

I had your exact problem, so here's what I did.

I used the latest aviable VM version, the one just after they fixed the memcards, luckly is stable enough to let you save.
Do this then :
1- On the emu rev you're using savestate on a savepoint.
2- Open the latest VM rev with the memcards fixed ( I can upload the one I used if you can't find it )
3- Format a memcard in the bios.
4- Load your game, and the your savestate.
5- Save.

After that you can either continue playing on the old revision or keep on going on the new ones.

I'm pretty sure if I had to listen to the english voices I wouldnt have liked the game. I turned them on for one fight out of curiousity and then never listened to them again.

The localization is really not at the professional level at all, I guess I'm just used to typos and such here and there due to fan translations. It still irritated me a bit, though.

No, you just won't understand a couple of scenes, or know who a couple of characters are, but it's not absolutely essential to the plot. It does make it a great deal more enjoyable, and is probably worth it, though. Then again, if you decide you hate AT1, unless your only complaint was the combat, you probably won't like this anyway.

The localization is decent and no real glaring mistakes.
Very few localized terms just lost their meaning(like Replekia/Replakia, Innfel Pira etc).
They cut the Japanese voices to keep dual language AND add English ones.

The only real glaring problem is the glitch and the SLOWDOWN during certain sequences.

I wouldn't normally complain about something like this, but many of the English character voices in AT were awful. They may as well take out both voice tracks and instead play a recording of a cat clawing up a chalkboard for fifty hours.
