the "world boss" work rather simple: boss check if there are girls inside a 200 range around him, if there are, boss proceeds to use a skill and bash their skulls. but don't do much else
if there are no girls inside 200 range around him, then boss check further if there are girls in 200-300 range, he use a skill to firelazor them, then he selfbuff.
is important to notice that when a enemy use a skill that hit multiple targets, being closer is the criteria that determine who is getting hit.

moral of the story: you want to grab few beefy tanks that stay close to the boss as long as possible so the other girls stay safe.except this game as a rather fuzzy concept of weapon's range and tanks you can't never be sure

Diana, the girl that hold the shield in the second image has range 100. her HP are in grim conditions and is just 10 second in the fight. the fact is that she is supposed to be a tank but she has just 200 points of defense more than Ariel, another girl with 160 range who is famous for being the signature full-attack & zero-defence oriented character according to wiki, and their grade and rarity are on par, pretty strange to me

Fixed that for you. Though I did pretty much call it, the game really wasn't in a state where it could compete with other mobages so they really cleaned up their act and stepped it up after mobile release.

And even though you could have seen this coming, people in this thread called me a shitposter telling me how they had to make money, how it was working for them and how I was some entitled shitter wanting more when they already give you lots of free shit. It'll be hilarious if this campaign isn't a permanent thing but a special ocassions sort of thing and they go back to being the awful gacha game everyone knows and loves.

For my part, though, I never really cared about whom I would get and just picked the game to ease myself into plant trivia. Say, did you know that there are milkweeds with nectar passages so thin that wasps regularly try to insert their faces inside, fail to get out, and rip off their own mouthparts while trying to disengage?

This is rather baseless on my part, but I speculate the implementation was to have been in part due to Rarity Growth finally building enough momentum to impact how the traditional gacha are being rolled out.
Prior to the addition of the RG system and their discount gacha, all of the gacha types were more or less equal in what they offered from a structural perspective.
The RG discount gacha theoretically became far more lucrative than the others in what it offered, so now we have according changes to the traditional gachas to even the playing field; a newcomer milestone, and The old spotlight becoming an actual pick-up type gacha, now that the pool of rainbows has effectively been doubled in roughly half a year's time.

The Selection Gacha for revival event is up and it is following the format of the Bloom Revival Gacha. Now, only the Golds and Rainbow featured will be in the Gacha, so there's 0 chance of spooking.

It's both good and bad since you will probably pull 100 of the Golds with 0 new characters to soften the blow before you pull the Rainbow. But at least it will be a rainfall of Rainbow Medals?

50 gem gacha: 3 RG girls + 4 gacha drop rainbows
vs.
30 gem gacha: 5 RG girls + 1 rainbow medal pick
50 gems if you wanted to maximize the number of rainbows vs 30 gems if you hate gambling and want a team full of your favorite rarity upgraded girls.

I'm glad I already have all my top favorite gacha golds, because newcomers get double drop rate PLUS guaranteed rainbow for 5 rolls? No reason to not roll that one in comparison to the pick-up gachas.
But let's wait for the next 30 gem gacha to be released. Maybe that one will get buffed too and manage to be equal.

It was too good to be true, of course they wouldn't let me have fun.
Anyways quick and dirty math:
You need 3800 skill EXP to get an SSR from skill level 1 to 20.
Leveling non-grail SRs past SLV4 provides diminishing returns, stopping there makes you trade 60 EXP (6 Rs) for 140 (35 * 4).
SR grails you stop at SLV6 before diminishing returns start kicking in, trading 150 EXP (15 Rs) for 300 (50 * 6).
Regular ass R grails you level to 4, using 30 exp (3 Rs) to get 80 (20 * 4) but I guess that ends up with you wasting some of that exp, so 20 EXP (2 Rs) to get them to SLV3 (20 * 3 EXP) also works if you're trying to just hit that 60 EXP sweet spot for regular SRs.
SSRs used as fodder, and this is the quickest math yet, I believe you're better off just pressing the big orange button and using 200 EXP (20 Rs) to get them to SLV5 immediately and get 750 EXP in return (5 * 150) but maybe there's a more efficient way.

Getting an SSR from SLV20 to 30 takes 4900 EXP, but that's just another can of worms.
I think that nerf to SSR skill EXP was too severe, maybe we could've made a compromise and keep them at 200?
Also, the biggest factor that remains unaccounted for is that I am actually bad at math so this could all be wrong and I'm retarded.

Slight correction: biggest return for your investment seems to be 560 EXP (4 SL4 SRs which is 24 Rs total) for SLV8 to get 1200 EXP.

Just checked and indeed you're right, leveled one random SSR to SLV2 and it gave 450.
So I guess just press the orange button after all? 20 Rs would still trade for 750 skill EXP, 550 EXP net gain.
Still, using 6 of your excess regalia weapons or unwanted SSR weapon drops, being the absolute laziest you can be and using 120 Rs (which is probably 2 days worth of gem gacha) to get them all to SLV5 gives you just enough fodder to get an SSR weapon from SLV1 to 20 instantly.
If aiming for efficiency, it's 1 SL4 SR + 6 Rs to level those SSRs to SLV5, which equals just 9 Rs.

Seems pretty comfy either way, once they implement Epic Quests I can use a bunch of those SSR weapons as fodder, as some early raids had really shitty weapons anyways. Unless of course they radically change the skills with the upcoming rebalances/FLBs that might make them worth using.

Yup you need some solid firepower to overcome his regen and the lack of ranged spots doesnt help. I used A combo of Lapis, Lai-Mai, Kibahime and Kasumi to overwhelm him fast. An Oni is quite good as a lane keeper in the soutwest and a strong healer can keep it alive but the problem is getting enough dps on the troll. I guess dropping emperor in his back, pica prince skill and some additional damage from behind the tank might do the trick. Put a Demon summoner next to oni and use her demons to block the upper right. Any kind of decent unit can take care of that lane.

Misa is actually viable now to have in my team. Prior to AW she was a really shitty duelist that died too fast to anything worth dueling and then revived with her skill offline and then died again even faster, this time taking the 3star chance with her. Now she can let dangerous foes pass and stab them in the back with her ranged saw while also bringing decent token firepower with her. My Sarah is in decent change now too so princess team is go.

Minor gripe: "queen" should be its own class. I'd rather have them call advanced princess classes "crown princess" or something.
