I did multiple comparisons around a year ago between myhd1080 and Thz,
the latter liberal use of sharpening filter and slight contrast boost (I happened to own the same vids on my DMM library as sample control) turned me off as sometimes it roughen up the skin of the actress too much.
That screenshot comparison of your seems to indicate barely nothing has changed since then, although its weird seeing no watermark from their releases. Is that a VIP releases or something?

Encoding wise, iirc Thz uses L4/3 main or baseline with only 1 ref frame while myhd1080 goes with L4 high or main with 3 ref which is why I opt for myhd.
Besides I like their openness with their encoding settings.
I know myhd1080 only does a screen capture and so does Thz since they sometimes botched it, showing the DMM player UI in the beginning,
but if what youre saying is true then I might need to do it all over again.

So I did some quick eye to eye comparison using your pictures (Unfortunately I can only extract the jpegs from that website).
The blocking artifacts from Thz.la are just way too much for my liking, I'm not sure if this is because of the aforementioned filter, lower actual subsampling than the supposed 4:2:0 (Often visible during the intro logo/title scene), or simply the fact that only 1 ref frame may be insufficient in basing the next macroblock. Interestingly I observed the same microtear in the edges of the sofa padding, this could mean Thz just reencode the myhd with some filter or colour adjustment (So far, I dont think Thz is actually ripped, unless they really botched up the reencoding) or the tearing is from the original studio release.
