His style is what gives him charm. It may not be perfect, but I adore what he can do. The peak of ZUN’s art is really in MoF and UFO, but it did decline a bit in TD (see mamizou)

Still, he is the best doujin artist ever. Mixing folk, religion, charmful and funny stories, dialoges, background, music (I am sensitive about the musical aspect - this guy is a genius) not to mention the games, a whole freaking lore, etc. My favourite thing background-wise is "the Outside World" in Touhou, where he plays around and even compares the society of Gensokyo to ours (I'm looking at you, Byakuren, Kanako and Miko from the Symposium of Post-mysticism interview)
His art is one-of-a-kind. Lot of interesting stuff

I pray and respect both him and Kikiyama (altho I barely know the later one, I clap at his piece of art work, Yume Nikki)
