Yes. Just look at the amount of Touhou art on newhus.
The otaku are starting to move on and go to the next big thing OR are now studying and becoming workers with no time to waste.

Touhou will die in 6 years, but at least they're going to be in history books about the enjoyment of the Japanese people in all these years.

The thing is that gacha games are the craze. The otaku have moved onto that moreless because it’s such a massive business. However, this can easily backfire once the people making these mobage games give up, or the fanbase just swells to an insane number.

Do I expect touhou to still stand? Yes. There may not be a growing number, but it’s presence is still felt

I think it stays through even with these trends. The fanbase still has some size and itsnt on its death throes yet. Years ago people thought kanker would be touhous downfall yet it’s above kanker now despite having reclining fans
