Why would they be called otaku when they're outside Japan? Here in the US there's plenty of them and lots of model train clubs around. My grandpa had a huge train table with a custom wired control system that put most sci-fi movies to shame. Loads of train books, train VHS tapes, and some train pictures hanging on the walls.

Our trains usually aren't very fancy so people who are into trains often focus on the history rather than the latest tech.

I used to work with a guy who was obsessed with trains. He also spoke in a complete monotone, and would suddenly get very loud sometimes, almost like he had no understanding of the volume of his voice.

He was really into WW2 nazi aesthetics, and sometimes talked about how pictures of naked children can just be artistic.

For a time, he set his desktop wallpaper as a picture of one of the young girls from The Facts of Life, and often remarked about how cute their knee socks were.

He got fired after losing his temper with someone, and i believe he works at an airport now.

He was easily the most unsettling person I've ever encountered.

Question about DA/AACI/Arty Spotting setups on Maya: if I use x2 5 in gun, FuMO, night scout and Iowa's 40mm in her expansion slot, can she do all three? The two 5 in should allow DA, not sure about arty spotting. Also does this gimp her AACI too bad? My old setup was 20.3(3), 5 in, 90 mm, FuMO and Iowa 40 mm in expansion.
