He didn't show up anywhere since that last tweet, just some spam-ish retweets for the RGD theatrical adaptation in there.

Their sprites also seem to be improving over time. The initial sprites had a lot more issues than the current ones.

>>18409908
Using only the original art would dissuade new potential buyers. Don't get me wrong, I like Ryukishi's art style, but it's clear why they would want to offer a more marketable alternative, regardless of how poor said alternative actually turned out to be.

They got good after Onikakushi-hen when more dudes and adults are introduced, even tho artstyle is still pretty generic, but Rena and Mion will always be fucking hideous and Rika's complex facial expression is lost forever. Is there a reason behind the leotard-wearing meta beings in Umineko? I heard Ryukishi absolutely loves theater and before working with VNs, he went for that kind of career. But... I really can't find an actual reason for them to be wearing leotards, it's not that kind of art after all.

Fanservice (the Angel Mort thing)?

Something in particular that I missed in Umineko (that thing is full of cryptic shit, symbolism and a fuckton of foreshadowing you guys find quite often)?

"It just look cool/badass, thus it's the design chosen"?

Opine, if you want.

The meta reason is that Ryukishi loves them and they are also a reference to Higurashi.

The in-universe reason is that Yasu is really a guy and likes to give all her female creations sexy outfits. Most of the magic beings were drawn by her.

Because they don't have separate consonants. They must always be attached to a vowel. Except for N, which counts as a syllabe by itself and must be pronounced as one. It's pretty weird.

English is much worse, though. Why can't you guys have just ONE pronunciation for each vowel?

For consonants too. I have a pretty hard time with -th- and -gh- words. But the real fucking problem are the irregular verbs.

The only thing I dislike about Japanese is that it lacks certain sounds for no reason. I don't mind SHI or TSU being a thing, but why the hell don't they have SI, TU, TI and certain W- sounds. It's bullshit. Even with Katakana, you have to add small vowels to the characters to make some foreign sounds. What the fuck? Also, something as overused as the CHA or KYO sounds shouldn't require a combination of two characters.

Don't even get me started on the "small tsu". That thing is bullcrap because it's often way too big, especially in handwritten text, and it's hard to differentiate it from the actual "tsu" sound at first glance. It should be a lot smaller.

While Goldsmith was busy saving Nazitrice from the Onigafuchi swamp aliens, an imposter called Wakinzo somehow got into his mansion and hid the six master keys all over the island. He also used a spell to possess all the servants and make them serve him. Goldsmith must collect all six master keys to remove the magic seal on the front door and defeat Wakinzo.

Sounds good and Wakinzo is an amazing character in his own series, but this novel plays like shit and the mysteries are WAY too easy. Goldsmith ends up with 99 gold ingots halfway through the story. The only good thing about this novel is the part where Goldsmith enters a giant golden robot version of himself he created while drunk. That shit was insane.

TL;DR: The first one was crazier, harder and much more fun. The music was a lot better too.

The openings and endings are pretty great. There is a kind of interesting OVA that takes place when Mion was a kid. The Tsumihoroboshi flashforward with Akasaka has an entire episode dedicated to it in the second season, and adult Rena shows up. The very first arc of the second season is an anime exclusive arc focused on Satoko. The later seasons are hilarious and you get to see Rena's naked ass.

Other than that, it's pretty shit. Especially if you never read the novels, because it basically spoils the whole thing but lacks most of the worldbuilding and character development that makes the story special. If you watch it after the novels, it won't be so bad because you already know the details. Still, some iconic scenes were adapted like shit or were completely removed. The first six arcs were adapted in 26 episodes, so they removed a TON of stuff and changed the tone of the story to pure horror almost a 100% of the time.

Why did Umineko get so much hate for not explaining everything directly? All the clues were there and everything made sense on a reread.

Evangelion did the same thing but 1000 times worse, since it was nearly impossible to understand without reading hours upon hours of explanations online and carefully examining every fucking scene afterwards. And yet, Evangelion didn't get nearly the same amount of hate. Some people dislike it, but most people consider it a masterpiece (myself included).

I believe that Ryukishi got the whole "let the audience find the truth themselves" idea from Evangelion, but he decided to make it much more fair. It's actually very possible to solve the whole thing and understand the character's motivations if you think about it and reread key parts, like Narnith, Newt and Jokrono's LPs have proven.

Maybe Ange and Eva were a coincidence, but it's obvious that Ryukishi chose Lion's name to reference EvaAngeLion. And the CONGRATULATIONS-tier ending to Umineko was another reference to it.

I think both stories did it well in different ways. Umineko is delightful when you reread it and realize that the answers were in plain sight the whole time. It's like the text has been magically rewritten to acknowledge the fact that you are aware of the truth, even though it's the same text you read the first time.

Evangelion, on the other hand, is fucking impossible to figure out no matter how many times you watch it. But once you understand everything thanks to outside sources, it's really fucking cool. Everyone is talking about convoluted and confusing shit that doesn't concern the protagonist and that the audience has no way to understand. But if you DO know what all that crap is about, it's like you are really in that universe, randomly getting information that isn't meant to be solvable. It feels less like a story directed at you as an spectator and more like the real experience of watching a bunch of scenes happening in a realistic and complex world you have been transported to.

Thinking is hard and it's easier to blame the author than to accept that I couldn't figure out the mysteries by myself as well as the fact that I could have put more effort into trying instead of wishing for clear answers that I never end up receiving.
Why accept failure and loss when I can just blame the author and his game and attack every little thing to justify my hate? "Without love it cannot be seen"? What is that suppose to mean? Maybe if I think on it more... Nah, Ryukishi is just a hack.

It can't be helped, you can't please everyone and not everyone will understand and figure out a mystery. It might also depend on whether you see Umineko more like a game where the characters are just pieces on a gameboard or more like a story where the characters are far more than that and have to be understood by the reader.
One of the main messages of Umineko is a simple yet complex perspective, seeing with and without love. We can try, but we're still only human in the end.

> Why did Umineko get so much hate for not explaining everything directly?
It's not like that, people got mad because, unlike Higurashi, there wasn't a single connection between the first episodes and the last ones. I think the only thing the question arc were useful for the answers, besides the character introduction and development, was some red truths here and there.
With Higurashi, each question game has its answers. It may not be the exact situation Keiichi was Hinamizawa'd on episode 1 and Rena was Hinamizawa'd on episode 6 but you can relate both games (episode 2 and episode 5 are a perfect example for this).
Now tell me just one thing that you can explicitly relate between episode 1 and episode 8. You can't, right?
That's why people got mad with Ryukishi and called him a hack or whatever. It's not like they didn't found the answer for Rokkenjima massacre Rosatrice faggots aren't even goat furniture, don't even mention them, but it would be good to relate both question arc and answer arcs a bit more and not make them read the question arcs again, but they are so good that I don't even mind it.
Not to mention the love thing. Not everyone (males mostly) will understand this at the first time myself included and probably will think it was a silly why dunnit for the massacre.
Mix this up and you can understand how Ryukishi almost fucked up his career.

Please note that there is a lot of people who read Umineko. Their opinions may be positive towards R07. I wrote this with your typical autistic Japanese otaku in mind, so spare me of Erika treatment.

Focus on relationships between Joji and Shannon, Jessica and Kanon at the beginning of Ep.2 should be big enough signal already. Stuff like Battler promising that he will return was noticed. If you are perceptive enough you will notice that Shannon and Kanon are seen together only during magic bullshit parts and when servants are by themselves. With that and many other clues you can identify whodunnit, and howdunnit becomes more clear. For the first arc information to be useful you should just git gud.

In EP1, Krauss takes Natsuhi to a secret room in the mansion and shows her a bar of gold, revealing that the legend is real and the ten tons of gold must exist somewhere on the island. He supposedly met with a company president who had ties with Kinzo or something like that, and the old guy confirmed that Kinzo's legend of the gold was real. To prove it, he gave Krauss the gold ingot that Kinzo used as collateral when they made a business deal. I'm not sure if I remember correctly, maybe it was the old guy's son who told all that stuff to Krauss because his father had already died.

My question is: why the fuck would that guy just give Krauss a valuable gold ingot? Even if Kinzo literally gave it to him for free to gain his trust and increase his reputation as an investor, why would the guy just give it away like that? And if Krauss bought it, why the hell did the do it? He NEEDS A LOT OF MONEY RIGHT NOW and can't waste any of it in some useless gold ingot. He only wanted to make sure that the legend was real so he could confidently start searching for it.

What the fuck happened?

If you are implying that Krauss got the gold ingot from trannyboy in EP1, that makes no sense. He and Natsuhi were completely innocent. Krauss' story about the gold must be true in some way, but I don't get how he got to keep such a valuable ingot.

Maybe he didn't really have an ingot and that scene is a metaphor for Krauss convincing Natsuhi that the gold exists. Why, though?

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Umineko. The mistery is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the riddles will go over a typical reader´s head. There's also Beatrice´s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation - her personal philosophy draws heavily from Jungian philosophy for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of the fantasy scenes, to realize that they're not just weeb shit- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who hate Umineko truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the hidden depth in Battler´s existencial catchphrase "It´s useless. It´s all useless!," which itself is a cryptic reference to Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Ryushiki´s genius unfolds itself on their computers screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I do have a One Wing Crest tatoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the witches eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they solved the epitaph (preferably before chapter 6) beforehand.

Finished Higurashi yesterday, that was great, I enjoyed it a lot. The feels and thrills were fantastic and it's pleasant to see how sharp and humane Ryukishi was from the beginning of his writing career and deep-rooted Umineko connections bring some new food for thought to the table.

But is it me, or Matsuribayashi-hen fable was rather off? Minagoroshi was that beautiful collapse of preconceptions and preconceived notions that entagled both characters and Hinamizawa as well as fantastic reveal of the culprit. Honestly, if the series ended here I wouldn't be mad, phenomenal culmination to themes and ideas of Higurashi has been reached. Matsuribayashi on the other had that long-winded buildup for what in fact turned out to be the ScoobyDoo fuss with overdramatic action scenes. It was fun as fuck but besides some background exposition and great character scenes I can't see the substance that story brings. Anyone feels the same?

It's hated because it has no heart and ignores the very core of the story in order to create a very twisted take in the story elements, going as far as dellusionally ignoring how the whole meta structure even works and calling the canon answer bullshit (when it has foreshadowing GALLORE even without the usual second readthrough people kinda have to make when reading Seacats).

I respect as an efffort from someone from the community, who did put a lot of work -8 fucking hours- trying to make an alternative explanation. I disrespect it for anything else, as it disrespects the work per se.

Fuck, the creator deleted the damn videos by the time very explicit answers came from the mango, I'm not sure how there are still Rosatricers (the real deal, I mean) around till this day. I'm guessing they are just trolls.

Nobody liked that much of matsuribayashi other than the superior PS2 alternative version of it desu (which actually has a nice sacrifice during the asspull portion at the end).

Most of the people who really liked it have it as their favorite though. It's made with a lot of heart besides its obvious flaws, maybe that's why.

I just disliked the Hanyuu ex machina and the silly stuff overall, besides that it was really solid as an ending (I fail to comprehend how people see the original ending as a bittersweet ending tho, Higurashi is the sole exception of a happy ending in his stories imo).

You've been saying this for a while now and I know it isn't true. To put this myth to rest I went back and checked the dates

Knownomore deleted his videos in March 2017. The Episode 8 manga ended in June 2015 and the English translation was finished in September 2015. That's a pretty big time gap. I even remember comments on his videos about the new red truths from the manga (all of which he completely dismissed, of course)

He did delete all of his videos, but it probably wasn't because of the manga. Maybe he finally grew up and realized how stupid his theory was or something

I like how Hanyuu's life was saved by a real miracle. Higurashi is fantasy, it's not an asspull.

I've read about the alternate console ending, but it seems very contrived with the whole "every problem coincidentally happens at once and K1 must solve them"', the ending is unnecessarily sad and ruins the whole point of Hanyuu helping Rika in the first place. And it wasn't even written by Ryukishi, as far as I know.

Also, you can't read it with the original art. Fuck that.

>>18431349
Saikoroshi is the epilogue to Higurashi. It's a must read. Not that Matsuribayashi didn't have a great ending, but this chapter gives more insight into Rika's character, explores the consequences of her journey and takes place in a world very similar to Lion's, where everybody had happier lives but they are weaker people as a result.

>> No.18431849

>>18431297
Higurashi only has a happy ending for Rika. Everyone else gets fucked in the previous worlds, including the countless Rikas that end up fusing into a witch and having lesbian sex with a psychotic cake.

It depends on how you look at it, though. My interpretation is that the endless fragments that represent infinite possibilities only come into existence as REAL worlds when a god-like being such as Hanyuu uses her powers. When it's just a witch looking for alternate realities and fucking shit up to entertain herself, those worlds don't "really" exist.

So you could say that Rika and Hanyuu have made those possibilities real by traveling between worlds and experiencing them as piece Rika. They are responsible for creating those worlds where everyone met terrible fates. And this could explain why normal people in Higurashi can subconsciously remember things and avoid previous mistakes. Their consciousness is the same in every world Hanyuu creates, even if people like Rena sometimes live for decades after Rika is dead. The concept of time doesn't matter in the meta realm and doesn't affect the connection between parallel worlds. So, you could say that the Akasaka that asked for a second chance to save Rika did eventually become the Matsuribayashi Akasaka after dying of old age and losing his consciousness in that world forever.

As you yourself said the guy put an incredible amount of time and effort on it, probably even more than 8 hours to re read, piecing everything together so that it would make sense. I admit however that the part when Rosa supposedly took into herself yasu's love for Battle because she felt guilty was retarded - but you can't tell me straight in the eyes that Yasu's why dunnit made sense. I know it resulted from the accumulated circumstances surrounding him starting from the cliff but...
>ignoring how the whole meta structure works
From my point of view, I think that was the approach of someone who wanted Umineko to be more grounded and actually found a way to make it work without the meta elements. He probably didn't matured from the "why the fuck are Battler and Beatrice arguing in a 4 dimensional interspace" mindset.

I don't the "why" part of Umineko. I don't understand why Shannon would want to kill everyone in the first place. Sure, I understand that she is the killer and more-or-less understand how she went about murdering everyone, but I feel like she doesn't have a clear motive behind her murders. In a way, I feel as though someone like Krauss, Rosa or George would make more sense to be killers since they could be driven by feelings such as greed or hatred to commit murders. I can't see love as a motive for murder unless the murderer is trying to prevent NTR or something.
Then again, I only ever loved a person back in middle school and after being rejected by her I stopped caring about love altogether. Which means that maybe I'm not meant to ever understand a story that's apparently about love.

I think Ryukishi summed this up pretty well

>R: I have this feeling that most of the people who arrived at the truth were women, because the key is being able to imagine Yasu’s feelings. Umineko is something that cannot be read by people who never fell in love with somebody. It is something that people who have no experience in love and relationships have trouble understanding. “Love can become a motive that has more power over you than life or death”, that is something which is pretty hard to explain to people without this experience. Most of them will think that it’s just “an overdone motive”. But for people who have known love and experienced how much it can make you suffer, they understand that love can turn your world upside down. If you are told “I will come for you again!” and for 6 years there is nothing, it can make you go crazy, but people who have even slightly suffered due to love will say “those 6 years must have been hell”. But people who no nothing of that pain will probably wait for nothing less than a dramatic gadget to appear, like the heroic story of “at age X her mother and father were brutally murdered”.

Sayo wanted to kill herself and take down any person she perceived as "guilty" or who would be devastated by her death. That's what the bomb is for. Battler showing up made her reconsider her plan, so she decided to give everyone a chance by carrying out the epitaph and sending that letter. If someone solves it or figures out the tricks, they will be able to stop the crime. She made it solvable for Battler.

Battler is to blame for indirectly creating that situation. If he hadn't said that stuff to Sayo, she would've quit her job sooner and by the time she learned that she's actually a creepy underdeveloped eunuch her situation would be completely different. She'd probably have a stable relationship with someone she could really trust with her issues. Instead, she was in a relationship with this fucking beta nerd who lived only for her sake and would probably go nuts if something went wrong with his waifu. She was also wondering if being a guy would be a better idea, because that's supposed to be her real sex and Jessica is super hot. Her only friend, Maria, was going to grow up with psychological issues and a terrible mother. And she's also kind of pissed at Battler for making her waste so many years thinking about him, when he never gave much of a shit about Shannon. And on top of that, she had access to guns and giant bomb that could wipe everything out and end her misery. It's easier to gather up the resolve needed to kill yourself if you've already dirtied your hands and the consequences of your actions will be more painful than pulling a trigger.

You should also consider that Sayo was raised in a christian orphanage where they fed her ideas about Heaven and shit, much like Hifumi did to Takano with the story of how Jesus lives forever because he left a mark in the world. The magic persona she uses to play with Maria is an intentional fabrication, but it's obvious that she really believes in some kind of spiritual afterlife.

Nanjo can go fuck himself for not even giving Yasu a fake vagina or those pills trannies take to be able to grow tits. Hell, if he did that when she was still a baby, she'd grow up to look 99% like a normal female and not at all like one of those obvious trannies.

Or at least kill the baby yourself and say "I'm sorry, there was nothing I could do". If you still want to save the baby despite not knowing shit about reconstructive surgery, you have to take him to a real professional and stop protecting Kinzo. If something goes wrong and people find out that he's been doing illegal crap in his private island for decades, that's too bad.

Genji is a fucking idiot too. I get that he and Nanjo are old timers with outdated ideas. But raising this poor bastard as a girl, setting her up as a servant (child labor anyone?) and waiting for her to grow up into a weak, short, undeveloped sissyboy with no friends... That's fucked, man. And after that, you try to fix your mistakes by giving this mentally unstable person the tools to massacre everyone and telling her that she's a dude. Oh, and making her think that Kinzo was a complete monster because you weren't there at the time and don't know if the story about how the italians died or how much Nazitrice loved him were true.

TL;DR: Genji is a fucking nutjob.

Japan loves christianity because the symbology, the angels, Hell and all that shit is honestly pretty cool. I think that Miyo and Sayo were taught about it "wrong", or less strictly, so they developed their own ideas and interpretations of it.

I mean, it's not like Jesus is REALLY experiencing anything anymore. No matter how alive he is in people's hearts, his consciousness is gone. Although I don't think Miyo meant it literally. And you supposedly can't go to the literal biblical Heaven after killing a bunch of people in closed rooms.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nxiMO02UJw

They discussed things that I never even thought of, like the idea of Will being fantasy Battler and Lion being fantasy Sayo.

Seriously, everything makes so much more sense now. Why Will has a strand of red hair and cares about "the heart" like young Battler did, why Lion is so androgynous looking and has golden hair, why he refuses to state his gender. Will is the perfect, competent version of Battler. And Lion is a perfect version of Yasu, that's the reason why his gender is so ambiguous. Yasu's idea of a perfect life is one where she doesn't have to worry about gender crap and can truly love someone without that getting in the way. Thanks to this interpretation, I have no problems with fanart or doujins treating Lion as a girl.

They also talk about the ending and how Lion's world is pure fantasy because he never existed in the real world. His appearance is fantasy, the golden roses in the chapel are fantasy, Shannon and Kanon showing up in EP7 is fantasy, George being a mature young man despite Shannon not being there to give him the motivation to improve is also fantasy.

The end of the Tea Party is basically Bernkastel trying to trap this fantasy world inside the cat box, where the end result after the 2 days are over is that everyone is dead. That's why something as illogical as Kyrie killing everyone happens in Lion's world too. But Will tells Lion that he mustn't accept this bullshit. Why can Lion be saved and find a miracle world just because he refuses to accept reality? Because his very existence is fantasy. He's not bound by the rules of the mystery genre or the real world events of Prime.

i think satoko's sprite is harmless and anyone who complains is a lunatic. however, the sexualization and abuse of children should not be something that is normalized and celebrated.. i guess the moral line is more blurry when it comes to 2d works and it's not something i'm certain about, but i am certain that pedophelia is a sickness that should be treated, and is something that is painful on either side. it's like the black witch that was passed from one to the other in umineko. i know these things from experience and am not a frothing sjw

Hiding the letter isn't a big deal in his eyes, it's much more troublesome in Shannon's instead.

For George it could be but a precaution because he doesn't want to lose Shannon to anyone, especially to an old love interest.

It's not like I'm demonizing George, I would probably do the same as him not knowing about Yasu's situation.

I just find "Battler completely forgetting Shannon, with who he is implied to spend lots of time even reading together mystery books when they are little" much more dellusional (like you people like to use this word so much, so there it is) than simply seeing through a much more obvious solution like "George was in complete love with Shannon, and much like he admitted, would even kill if he needed to protect their relationship".

Just skipping her letter was like a necessary little white lie to him anyway (which of course he would never admit, as it could risk their relationship, besides admitting being jealous of Battler), it's not like he would feel really fucking bad for it somehow.

Doing so, he would demonstrate Battler wasn't interested in her anymore, while also giving him the perfect opportunity to demonstrate his love.

Love is a battlerfield. You guys did read EP6, right?

Pair these two and you have:
People who love George see it as Battler just forgot about Shannon "somehow" and people who love Battler think that it was George's fault hiding the letter for his very own evident behaviour he so admitted a few times in the course of the VN.

You guys are blindly and one-side-ly defending George without considering Battler's actual chances of forgetting someone from his childhood completely. Remember his memories are hazy because he is remembering stuff as Tohya, who is an amnesiac Battler, and yet he instantly recognize and remember Shannon pretty well (in his own narrative, and not in Yasu's omnicient one) right from EP1.

I don't hate George, I actually find him to be pretty underrated, but I think 'you 'are dellusional for believing without a doubt that it isn't way more possible for him to have done that than Battler having amnesia before the time, even if he remember her pretty vividly even after getting amnesiac.

But again, you could argue that's because Tohya knows a lot more about Yasu after the big day, since they escaped the island together much likely after talking about everything surrounding the terrible situation, just before both "die".

Not that this would bring George's case to be any less probable than it is in comparison.

That's absolutely and precisely it.
In Ryukishi's own words in the 4-hour long interview with Keiya:

K The scene at the beach was especially harsh. And during EP7, during the scene with the letters I also thought, “Damn Battler, you’re bad!”.
R There are many ways to think about this scene though, maybe there was no bad intent and they just forgot, maybe George decided not to hand the letter over. I won’t say what’s the truth, but I want you to think of different possibilities.
K So it’s about whether we want Battler or George to be the bad guy, right?!
R There’s more. Maybe Kyrie told him „Write to all of your cousins“, so he just wrote to his cousins, there are many ways to think about it. A riddle like that is a way of, if I had to say it with Bernkastel’s words, my way of trying to make you enjoy parallel worlds. At the core it is about whether the player wants to believe in Battler or George. Maybe it’s just about for whom of them you have love.

Basically he left this one admitedly opened for us to continue theorizing about it if we so want to. The Kyrie thing might as well be the actual answer, since Battler didn't even want to write the letters in the first place.

I love Battler way more than George but this fits way more than George pulling off insane tricks to hide a letter, even if he had reasons to do it
And if he didn't forget about it, why didn't he just try to defend himself and get angry at George instead of hating himself for his sin

>> No.18442947

>>18442881
my best bet is that Battler was forced to write at least some letters to the family by Kyrie, and he does so.

Kyrie would then pick said finished letters before her travel to Rokkenjima and put them in an envelope.

He just happened not to write for Shannon, and he didn't even wanted to write them to the family, Kyrie wanted him to.

In the end, he would still blame himself for not having written stuff for Shannon, if he even takes in consideration those forced letters to be a possible problem, as he only apologizes for not being able to come back for her.

While we didn't see just how many envelopes there were, as George only received one (that could be exclusively reserved for the cousins, much like Ryukishi suggested), I find difficult for him to do something like that and not apologize later with all the stuff.

And it's very difficult that Battler would completely forget about Shannon in 6 years.

The Kyrie solution might as well be a very good one I didn't even think about it until I've read Ryukishi's own comment on it.

As expected from the gamemaster.

>> No.18442976

>>18442947
maybe Battler just thought she wouldn't be working there any longer, he did mentioned something like that way earlier in the VN

this paired with Kyrie not knowing about their relationship for always being trapped in family reunions while the kids have fun (EP1 info) probably made her ask him to write letters for the family alone, without considering servants.

And those letters probably make their way to the servants, much like Shannon probably read them as well.

But what some people are doing is essentially taking one of Battler's biggest flaws and mistakes within Umineko, the flaw that truly makes Battler imperfect and flawed, removing it, and pushing it onto a character they already dislike because why not?

That pretty much turns Battler into a victim of this whole story where the evil George stood in the path of his relationship with Sayo and caused Sayo to lose hope.

And that's simply not the story Umineko told us. Umineko told us explicitly:

It's an interesting theory, though. ESPECIALLY after reading Hinamizawa Bus Stop. Are the "fictional worlds" things like Ange's books about Sakutaro or the message bottles and forgeries? They exist in a lower plane than the "real world", right? Is there any way to access these worlds if you are a voyager witch? Are they the "book fragments" in Featherine's library? Is Card Captor Sakura one of these worlds?

If there is an endless number of real worlds and they exist below the meta (since the fragments in the meta represent endless possible realities), does that mean that MAGIC exists in some of them? There was clearly magic bullshit happening in Higurashi, so it must be real.

My intepretation of the gameboards is that they exist as fragments in the meta world (because they are possible results of the roulette Yasu created) but they ALSO exist as fiction in the real world. At least the ones we are shown. Meaning that even if the message bottles and the forgeries were fiction in Ange's world, they really happened in the meta. The Ushiromiyas really experienced that stuff in different parallel worlds. The magic side of the gameboard, though, is probably fiction and didn't happen in the meta version of the games.

It's very interesting how the focus of Higurashi is a single consciousness traveling between worlds to find a happy ending, while the focus of Umineko is a particular real world (out of the billions that exist) where Eva survived and Ange's life is shit. It's the complete opposite.

Of course, Nomura and Ikuko are their own characters. They may be the result of Featherine "writing herself into reality", but they are still their own characters with their own backstories and personalities.

If Hanyuu is not Featherine why does she look like her?
If Hanyuu is Featherine why would she be the main support of Lambda's piece?

And they are both mysterious people with shady throwaway backstories that come out of nowhere and heavily influence the story. Nothing would've happened if Nomura didn't help Takano. And the game between Battler and Beatrice wouldn't be possible if Ikuko hadn't found Tohya, because they are behind most of the forgeries.

Hell, Nomura's name isn't even the real one. She uses like five names to keep her identity a secret. It's obvious that Featherine created this character to represent herself as the Game Master, gave her a mysterious background so she wouldn't have to fill in the details of what her family or friends are like and used her to turn Takano into a villain.

Hanyuu and Rika ended up creating a "goal" that fixed the logic error and let the game end, but Nomura was the one pulling the strings the whole time. She started the game. Lambdadelta was just passing by.

Hell, you could even say that Lambda represents Takano's strong will. When Takano swore to "God" that she'd never give up, Lambda was created along with her entire backstory (whatever that is) and memories. Just like Yasu created a thousand year old Beatrice. Except Lambda was actually real rather than a delusion thought up by a human because there is magic in Higurashi. Takano didn't actually "create" her.

I'm in no way implying that Ikuko or Nomura are aware of their status as Featherine's avatar in the real world, though. They are normal people, it's just that everything about them was designed by Featherine.

Ryukishi is back.

He announced the repairing of some problems in the japanese version of MangaGamer's release of Question and Answer arcs, as well as the fixes of the typos people were pointing out.

Based MangaGamer took a bit of time, but finally fixed Umineko both halves all in the same day.

It seems he himself patched the game up, props to Ryukishi as well. What a nice developer.

Good answer, not really, made you look like a dumb. I told you to not reply back. Why the sudden influx of spic posters? This kind of jokes have been all over the website since a few months.

If I could make a selfish request for him or manga gamer, I would like to have the rain movement back if possible, and not just stactic.

I'm really no good with that even anonymously, can someone please ask him or MG that for me?

The lack of dynamic rain is because of the new engine. I don't think it's possible to do dynamic rain like that in PONScripter unfortunately

You guys REALLY think he is actually a woman with a male representant much like Ikkuko?

I find that to be really difficult, why are we back into that topic...

Yeah, this level of shitposting is on par with “R07 browses 4Chan and actually is a much better illustrator than Higurashi and Umineko would have you believe.”
