Imagine trying to tell Americans to stop shoving saturated fats and corn syrup into their mouths during a movie.

I've never understood this whole anti fatty foods thing. The shit tastes good. Why shouldn't you eat it? I can understand why people who want to be fit wouldn't, but I am willing to be fat and have a shorter lifespan if it means that I will enjoy my life more. Food is one of the greatest joys of life.

inb4fatass,etc. I'm not overweight.

It's nothing more than a self-destructive addiction. It doesn't take much to eat normally (let alone healthily) and you soon lose your taste for it. Find something to else fill your life.

In the first place, "enjoying food" has nothing to do with shoveling processed cheese and other kinds of garbage into your body.

I'm not arguing for the 500lbs monstrosities out there, but I don't see a problem with eating popcorn while watching a movie, or having a hamburger or pizza occasionally. Of course doing anything to excess can be destructive, actually, scratch all of that.

Why should you deny yourself things you enjoy to be healthy? You're going to die anyway, but you'll have lived a life of self-denial. If abstinence makes you feel superior you just go ahead and be a christfag.

People that make noise during a performance are the worst.

At any rate, once you give shit like that up (soft drinks for example) you won't feel like you're missing anything. Those are just the mindless urges of your body that's become dependent on a certain kind of food. It's something you can easily change if you put your mind to it.

As I said, I'm not overweight. I don't overindulge myself in these types of things, but I do indulge occasionally and I don't see anything wrong with that. If someone wanted to eat hamburgers every day I don't have a problem with that either.

If you enjoy doing something then I don't see a problem overdoing it as long as you're willing to accept the consequences. If you don't care about being fat, then you should be able to eat as much as you want. If you don't care about getting cancer, go ahead and smoke (I think this example may be less valid since smoking can harm people other than yourself, but you get my point).

I guess I just don't see a point to living if you don't enjoy your life.

I don't like people who are obnoxious. (Surprise)

You aren't doing anyone a favour if you ignore their problems because "it's their choice." Addicts can't enjoy their lives as you put it.

If they want to change their lives and break their addictions then they can do that if they have the willpower. Trying to force change onto people normally doesn't end well. Ever tried to get a smoker to quit smoking?

Shit's hard. Most people need help to do it. That's just a fact of life. The idea of people "pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps" is nonsense that doesn't exist outside of American talk radio.

>> No.1785915

Is this about people being fat or people making noise during movies, and how are the two related? I'm a little confused. It's been a while since I went to a movie theater, but I don't remember soda and popcorn being loud. Black people who yell at the screen and babies, yes, but not so much people snacking.

>> No.1785999

I eat things that are both "healthy" and "unhealthy" and have never weighed more than 145 lbs/65 kg.

You don't have to ONLY eat healthy food or ONLY eat unhealthy food. Jesus Christ, why is that so hard to grasp?
