If somebody still remembers, about a month ago I posted a (now archived) thread about my ultimate waifu/moe/loli dating simulator game.

The current development stage is dating feature, and it relies on having numerous text dialogues on various topics, which will be used to assemble personalities of girls. Everybody willing to contribute can write text dialogues directly in the game wiki:

Any help will be appreciated and will speed up overall game development. A free playable demo version for PC & Mac should be released in about 3 ~ 5 months from now.

OP here. If the game ever progresses to the stage when there is something to sell, and if I decide to sell it, and if somebody apart from me will write new dialogues for the game, I'll make sure the basic version of the game remains free forever, and whatever additional content is sold (if any), it won't include the free dialogue submissions I may (hypothetically) ever receive. As to compensations, I have no money to pay to anybody, all contributions are done for free. This is most certainly not an offer for people who seek paid work.

< - a preview of the apartment room. Right now there is a bed (can be used for sitting only for now), a closet (20 additional slots for storing items), and kitchen. Kitchen will be used for cooking food for chara-waifu. In the future I also want to add a bathroom, a computer (or TV+game console, not sure as yet). Some items inside the room will be customisable, like curtains, bed sheets, and wall posters.

< - Here is a version with (some) shadows. In Unity, there are no easy shadows inside rooms. They have to be faked through careful arrangement of small spot lights near windows, which are then baked into lightmaps. This a very slow and tedious process, and it has to be redone every time some item is added or moved in a room. That's why baking shadows is usually done only after all interior design is 100% complete and every single item is placed into its final position.

Not any time soon, I'm afraid. Most probably after first demo release. I need to implement all core gameplay elements and release something playable as soon as possible. Write a few hundred dialogues for dating scenes, among other things. All finer details will be added only after that. The whole idea with the wiki and contributed dialogues implied that there will be enough people willing to write texts, but this isn't really working out ATM. I guess it's difficult to get people interested without giving them something to play with. So headpats is the least of my worries for the time being.

Not quite a headpat, but a squirrelpat. A similar feature existed already in the 2D version, but it looks and works much better now. Squirrels can be touched and will react to interactions.

Also, while implementing it, I was thinking if head pats should be shown from first person view, that is, camera will zoom on your girlfriend and you can pat her head with your mouse/finger on smartphone (that's how it currently works with squirrels), or it should be done in third-person view, so you'll see how your playable character will stretch her hand and pat the head? Which one do you guys will be better?
