I went to Japan for 2 weeks. Now I am back in the UK and feeling melancholic as fuck. Not even a weeb.

How do I deal with this feel?

Rather generic feeling, most people feel it.

I lived there for a year, now I'm taking steps to move permanently.

England is depressing anyway

Same, anon. Same.

Personally, I have dealt with it by booking to go back in September. I doubt that this is the sensible option, though.

What is it about Japan that makes people who come back from it get like this sometimes?

did you suffer Jerusalem syndrome there from becoming anime?

For me it was staggering seeing everyone take pride in their job, doing it properly and appearing to have a coherent culture and taking pride in their environment. I saw almost no litter. Totally unlike London, which has simply been surrendered to hostile unproductive alien groups who carry over their third would beefs to the streets of this country. Meanwhile, if you dare to notice this dysfunction, your life will be destroyed because "Thats rayyysisss!"

Walking around at night, the notion of violence was seemed unimaginable, unlike here.

I can only summarise it as coherence across many aspects of society. They seem to have it and I am envious of that not being present in the UK.

Agreed, London really is a shithole, even the nicer areas. Around where I live it is unusual to hear English being spoken on the streets. There aren't any large English cities left, only countryside and small villages; and I don't want to live away from the city.

But I love our perpetually grey, downcast days when everything just looks dull as fuck. I hate it now summer's approaching.

What areas of London have you lived in?

What is your objection? I am happy to hear it.

Hmm. You are the second person to say this. What in particular do you find objectionable?

You're the one that asked ''how do I deal with this feel?''
Kill yourself and let it all end.

It isn't unique to Japan, people travel all over the world and say "I wish I could live there" or "I wish I could go back" or "I wish that vacation lasted longer". It's more about being sick of your normal environment and thinking the grass will be greener on the other side (When often times it won't be, at least after a couple years of living in the place, it just seems nice because you are on a temporary stay and don't have to deal with long term issues there).

That said, I've been there twice and I'm trying my hardest to go back again later this year.

I know what you are getting at, I have travelled a fair bit, but this country hit me in the feels like no other place did. I have been home three days and cant bring myself to do anything other that jack off and browse the chins. Cant play vidya or guitar for more than 5 minutes. I'm just pottering around waiting for sleep.
